A tilting camera and great performance
On the front of the Zenfone 7, there’s a large 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED display. It also has no cutout, hole-punch, or notch for the selfie camera. The same camera setup has already been seen in the previous generation.
The front camera is basically not here, because it’s replaced by the main camera sensor on the back. That one is tilting and also works as a selfie camera. So photos taken with the “front” camera are much higher quality.
There’s also a 90 Hz refresh rate, which you’ll definitely appreciate not only for games but also during everyday use. The display also offers a wide color gamut of up to 110% DCI-P3 and HDR10+ support, ensuring accurate colors and detail.
A high brightness of up to 700 nits improves screen readability in any lighting, and the DC Dimming technology reduces screen flicker in worse light conditions.
As for the main camera, it uses a top-class 64 MPx Sony sensor with Quad Bayer technology. It stands out especially with better photos in challenging lighting conditions.
The main sensor is supported by a ultrawide camera with autofocus and phase detection. The sensor also serves as a macro camera. With these sensors, you can take detailed close-up shots from as close as 4 cm.
The third sensor is a telephoto lens, enabling 3x optical zoom and up to 12x total zoom with optical image stabilization and smooth transitions between cameras during recording.
The Asus Zenfone 7 smartphone is equipped with a powerful chipset: specifically the Snapdragon 865 from Qualcomm. You’ll use it to the fullest not only for gaming or demanding work, but also for advanced AI camera features.
There’s also a large 5 000 mAh battery that you can charge very quickly via the USB C connector. The smartphone supports 30 W fast charging, letting you charge the battery to 60% in just 30 minutes.
You’ll also appreciate the quality stereo speakers and the fingerprint sensor built into the side unlock button.
