AOCHUAN Smart XE: Affordable gimbal with AI features and face tracking
The gimbal AOCHUAN Smart XE features a matte black design for the frame, as well as a flip-out stand for tripod-style use—something you’ll appreciate, for example, for time-lapse footage.
The overall dimensions of this device are set at 273 x 125 x 65 mm (in the unfolded state). However, the design also allows folding to save space during shipping. In that case, the dimensions drop to 163 x 108 x 55 mm (in the folded state).
According to the seller’s data, the entire gimbal weighs about 350 grams (with an offset of about +/- 5 grams). Its maximum payload is then 250 grams, which meets practically every standard smartphone standard—even with a protective case.
2600 mAh battery and USB-C charging
Besides the joystick for control, you also get 3-axis stabilization, a mechanical tilt of up to 345°, plus the option to tilt up to 275°. The phone width supported by this model ranges from 55 mm to 90 mm.
The main attraction is also the integration of artificial intelligence into this gimbal’s functions. It can ensure that your smartphone camera stays focused on a person’s face, enabling smooth and precise tracking during any dynamic movement.
The built-in battery has a capacity of up to 2600 mAh. It offers up to 10 hours of use per charge, and USB-C takes care of recharging. A full charge takes 3.5 hours. In the box, you’ll also find a USB Type-C charging cable, the mentioned stand/tripod for the bottom part, plus a brief user manual and the initial device setup instructions in English.
