The Blackview brand is best known for rugged smartphones, but in recent years it has been focusing more and more on laptops too. The new Blackview GamiBook 8 is among the most interesting models in the price segment of around €800, because it combines a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 processor, integrated graphics Radeon 680M, up to 32 GB DDR5 RAM, and a large 16-inch display. On paper, that makes it a laptop suited not only for office work, but also for editing photos and videos or playing less demanding games.

AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS delivers performance on par with more expensive laptops
The biggest draw of this laptop is the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor. It’s a modern 8-core and 16-thread chip made using a 6 nm process. Clock speeds reach up to 4,75 GHz, and in terms of performance it’s among the best processors you can find in this price category.
So the laptop can handle demanding multitasking without any issues—working with multiple apps at once, editing photos in Adobe Photoshop, graphic design in Canva or Illustrator, or office work with large documents and spreadsheets. Thanks to 32 GB DDR5 memory, it’s also ready for heavier professional workloads.
The integrated Radeon 680M can handle games too
A big advantage of the Ryzen 7 7735HS CPU is the integrated graphics AMD Radeon 680M, which is among the most powerful integrated solutions on the market. It includes 12 graphics cores with clock speeds up to 2200 MHz and, according to the manufacturer, delivers significantly higher graphics performance compared to older generations.
In practice, you can easily play popular titles like DOTA 2, Counter-Strike 2, Minecraft, Fortnite, and Genshin Impact. Of course, it’s not a gaming laptop with a dedicated GPU, but for casual gaming and multimedia use it offers really great performance.
A large 16-inch display with an aspect ratio of 16:10
Blackview went with a modern 16-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. Compared to the standard 16:9 aspect ratio, you get a more practical 16:10 format that gives you more space in the vertical direction.
So when working with documents, web pages, or spreadsheets, you’ll see more content without constantly scrolling. The display offers 178° viewing angles, about 330 nits of brightness, and 88% screen-to-body ratio for the laptop. TÜV Rheinland certification also confirms a reduced level of blue light.
32 GB DDR5 RAM and 1 TB SSD without compromises
At a time when many laptops still offer only 16 GB of RAM, GamiBook 8 comes with 32 GB DDR5 capacity at a 4800 MHz frequency. The manufacturer even allows an upgrade up to 64 GB.
Fast 1 TB PCIe SSD in the M.2 2280 format takes care of your storage. If that still isn’t enough, the laptop also supports a TF card with a capacity of up to 2 TB. So you’ll have more than enough space for photos, videos, games, or work projects.
Rich connectivity with a pair of full-featured USB-C ports
The manufacturer didn’t forget connectivity either. You’ll find a pair of full-featured USB-C ports here, which handle charging, data transfer, and video output. They’re complemented by two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, one USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, a TF card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
It also includes WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. There’s also a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, a large glass touchpad, and a full-size keyboard with a numeric keypad.
57 Wh battery and 65 W fast charging
The laptop uses a 57 Wh battery. According to the manufacturer, it can deliver roughly 9 hours of standby, 7 hours of music playback, or nearly 4 hours of web browsing. When playing 4K video, battery life is around 4.5 hours.
Charging is handled by a modern 65 W USB-C adapter. It charges the laptop to 50% capacity in approximately 1.3 hours, and a full charge takes about 2.6 hours. Charging via USB-C is also convenient, with no need for a proprietary connector.
