Control via touch, voice, and also the app
Govee Glide Hexa panels with support for Razer Chroma are smart LED panels that go beyond the limits of regular RGB lighting. With Govee’s RGBIC technology, they can display multiple colors at once, creating dynamic effects (including blinking or color switching). These panels can be controlled via touch, voice, or through the Govee Home app. They’re a budget alternative to the well-known Nanoleaf panels.
In terms of connectivity, you get Wi‑Fi with a 2.4 GHz frequency, plus Bluetooth as well. The lighting is intended for indoor use only.
The panels have a transparent cover that lets the light shine onto the wall, and they’re compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT. You can also add them to your smart home. Their hexagonal shape lets you combine multiple panels to create different patterns. The dimensions of each panel are 10 cm in height, 11.5 cm in width, and 0.6 cm in thickness.
Govee made sure that installing the Govee Home app is as simple as possible, while still offering a wide range of designs so you can customize everything your way.
After connecting the control box via a power adapter (AC 100 – 240 V), users need to pair the set with the app. Installation is easy, with support from the Govee Home app, which guides you through the setup panel by panel. If you’re stuck, there’s also a YouTube tutorial available.
Govee Glide Hexa offers plenty of room for self-expression
Once all the parts come together, the real fun begins. Users can manually choose colors in the app or experiment with different preset scenes. Six independently lit edges of each panel animate certain scenes, ensuring smooth transitions and gradients.
Built-in animations like forest scenes, rainbow, ocean, and sunset create a beautiful visual experience. You can also set up your own animations from a selection of 16 million colors and a wide range of effects. Plus, you can customize the direction of each animation the way you like.
Music mode and a timer
There’s also the popular music mode, where the sensitive microphone picks up sounds from movies, games, and music. Music mode changes the lights according to the rhythm of the captured tones.
The panels shine very brightly, and you can easily adjust the intensity in the app. Users can also set a timer so the panels automatically turn off when you go to sleep and turn on as you wake up. Want to wake up to sunrise colors? That’s possible too.
