Govee Star Light Projector: Star projection and smart features

Govee Star Light Projector relies on a solid build made from quality ABS plastic materials. The projector has a round shape with rounded edges, and it also features an adjustable stand integrated directly into the bottom part of the housing. The manufacturer can also boast a design award from the current IFA 2024 exhibition in Berlin.

The projector uses 16 million colors (RGBW) and a dual light source with LED technology. The projection coverage should be enough for a room size of up to 60 m². The built-in lenses were custom-made in three styles, and you can choose from a total of more than 52 scenes, including the popular starry sky or the northern lights, plus an intelligent sleep and relaxation mode.

Wireless connectivity, USB-C and Matter

It also has a built-in speaker for playing your relaxing music and enhancing it with lighting effects. A practical feature is also a timer and the option to schedule projection on. You can also create your own projection styles using the manufacturer’s mobile app – called Govee Home.

A big advantage of this product is support for smart functions. It offers solid connectivity with Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. In the future, supporting the Matter standard will be a welcome benefit too.

The box you receive contains the smart projector itself Govee Star Light Projector, including the integrated stand. There’s also a USB-C cable, the warranty card, and a short user manual in English. However, an adapter is not included in the package; the manufacturer recommends buying one separately, with a recommended output of 5 V / 3 A.
