AMD is getting ready to launch its new Ryzen series processors 4000, which are intended mainly for desktop PC setups. One much-anticipated technology is the APU Renoir, featuring the Team Red Zen 2 architecture.
As new reports and information leaks about the upcoming chips keep growing, as soon as new models enter commercial production, we are seeing preparations from the Chinese company Huawei. It plans to launch a new desktop PC model that should include the very chip currently being prepared with a new architecture.
AMD series 4000
A desktop PC is quite an interesting choice for Huawei; lately, the company has focused mainly on the notebook and ultrabook market. The fact that the manufacturer now wants to enter the desktop PC market could lead to a few truly remarkable products.
The first leaks about the upcoming PC appeared via the social network Twitter. The market should see a Huawei desktop model with an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 440G processor, featuring an integrated and more specifically unspecified AMD Radeon graphics card. The chip comes with 6 physical cores and 12 threads.
The cores will reach a maximum clock of up to 4,3 GHz, with a base clock of 3,7 GHz. AMD’s integrated graphics chip will offer 512 MV with a base performance of 1600 MHz, with the option of maximum performance up to 1900 MHz.
We don’t know Huawei’s available configurations yet
We don’t know any more information about the upcoming desktop PC yet. However, the focus of this model may be for users who will also use advanced AMD processor performance. The final usage still depends on the configuration, and at the moment we don’t know all the planned versions of the new Huawei computer.
The arrival of a desktop PC could also mean an expansion of the portfolio after the crisis caused by the spread of the coronavirus. During this period, working from home also became increasingly popular, and the PC and laptop market saw a significant growth.
