After the previous release of the P30 Lite NEW EDITION model and P Smart 2020, the updated flagship version is now also coming. The Huawei P30 Pro NEW EDITION model will again offer the same flagship specs as the original last year's model.
There will be no shortage of four rear cameras, an updated telephoto lens, new updated color versions—but, more importantly, the phone still offers the popular Google Mobile Services.
Huawei P30 Pro NEW EDITION
Following the pattern of the previous refreshed model, the design of the smartphone itself does not change, and the hardware specs are also very similar. The smartphone features a 6.47″ AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, rounded edges, and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
A highlight is the fingerprint reader integrated into the display. There is no speaker for calls—the audio is instead handled by an innovative sound-transmission technology through the display. The device is powered by the flagship processor Kirin 980 from Huawei, and comes with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage.
New colors and a lower selling price
The cameras also remain unchanged. There’s a main 40 MPx sensor, accompanied by a 20 MPx ultra-wide sensor, an 8 MPx telephoto lens, and a TOF 3D depth sensor. The telephoto lens is also updated and offers 10x hybrid zoom, unlike the 5x zoom in the original P30 Pro.
The front will feature a 32 MPx camera. On the software side, you’ll get EMUI 10.1 and the latest Android 10 with built-in Google services. This means you can enjoy the Play Store, Google Pay, Google Maps, and more.
Battery life is handled by a 4200 mAh battery, and the phone will also support fast 40 W charging. Huawei P30 Pro NEW EDITION will also get a new Silver Frost color variant, very similar to the one in the current P40 lineup.
In addition, it will be available in Aurora and Black. The price of the new device starts at 749 euros, the phone can be pre-ordered with delivery from 1 June 2020 in Germany.
