A few days after Huawei’s new P40 series was announced worldwide, their sub-brand Honor for the Chinese market introduced the model Honor 30S.
This model ranks among the top of the mid-range. It’s the first device to feature the anticipated chipset Kirin 820 with support for 5G networks.
Similar design to the predecessor
The Honor 30S phone takes its design cues from its predecessor. That means a butterfly 3D glass back that changes colors beautifully depending on the light reflection. On the side of the device, there’s a fingerprint sensor. The dimensions are 75.0 x 162.3 x 8.6 mm and it weighs 190 g.
The change is on the back of the device, where you’ll find 4 cameras and a flash inside a rectangle. You can buy the Honor 30S in four colors: green, blue, black, or red.
Kirin 820 goes toe-to-toe with flagship phones
The new model includes a new 7 nm Kirin 820 processor with eight cores. The processor has 1 x Cortex – A76 core clocked at 2.36 GHz, 3 x Cortex – A76 cores clocked at 2.22 GHz, and 4 x Cortex – A55 cores clocked at 1.84 GHz.
Thanks to this processor, it can keep up with today’s flagship phones. It also comes with a powerful six-core graphics chip Mali – G57.
Veľké úložisko a 8 GB RAM
The new Honor 30S offers up to 8 GB RAM LPDDR4X, ensuring smooth operation. For saving photos, music, files, and everything else you need, there’s UFS 2.1 storage with an impressive 256 GB capacity.
Veľký čistý displej
If you like big screens, the Honor 30S will definitely deliver. It has a 6.5-inch LTPS LCD display with a sufficient resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and support for HDR10.
A nice extra is support for the e-Reader mode for more comfortable reading. It also features Link Turbo, GPU Turbo, and an eye-protection mode. An interesting feature is the software aging function, which according to the company means the feature keeps the UI elegant and smooth for more than 30 months.
Kompletná 5G podpora
With the Kirin 820 processor, the phone supports 5G SA / NSA. WiFi will also help you connect to the internet. Data transfer is handled by Bluetooth 5.1. If you prefer wired headphones, you’ll be happy to have a 3.5 mm jack.
Unfortunately, the Honor 30S doesn’t include NFC or an IR blaster for controlling household appliances.
40 W nabíjanie a Android 10
The Honor 30S is powered by a battery with up to 4200 mAh even at an average capacity. When the battery runs out, no worries — the phone supports fast 40 W charging via USB-C.
An intuitive, smooth user experience is handled by the Android 10 Q operating system with the Magic UI 3.1.1 interface.
Parádny 64 MPx snímač
Four sensors handle enhancing your great experiences. The primary camera offers a resolution of up to 64 MPx. It’s backed by an 8 MPx telephoto lens with 20 x digital zoom, 5 x hybrid zoom, and 3 x optical zoom.
It also includes an ultra-wide-angle 8 MPx lens and a 2 MxP macro sensor that can capture shots up to 4 cm away. Unfortunately, the Honor 30S doesn’t have optical stabilization.
It can create up to 4K video or record slow-motion footage at 960 fps with 720p resolution. Electronic stabilization in combination with special AI stabilization helps you get steadier video.
And of course, a front 16 MPx camera located in the display notch will be there for your selfies with friends.
Dostupné ceny, no iba pre Čínu
The Honor 30S will cost 2399 yuan for the 128 GB storage + 8 GB RAM version (about 306€ / 8 440 czk) and 2699 yuan for the 256 GB storage + 8 GB RAM version (about 345€ / 9 500 czk).
