Oppo Find X9 Ultra will debut on the global market for the first time. It wants to become the king of mobile photography

The Chinese brand Oppo is preparing the next generation of its flagship Find X series, and this time there’s also a very interesting update for the global market. According to official confirmation from the manufacturer, the model Oppo Find X9 Ultra will for the first time be available outside of China. It’s the first-ever “Ultra” model from the Find X series that will be sold globally. Oppo wants to strengthen its position in the international market with this move, while also proving it can go head-to-head with the best camera phones of today.

Based on early information, this will be an extremely ambitious smartphone focused mainly on photography. The manufacturer even claims it’s a device designed to work as a full-fledged camera inside a smartphone body. Development of the cameras is also carried out in collaboration with the legendary brand Hasselblad, which handles color calibration and optimization of image processing.

Extreme specs: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a huge battery

Leaks suggest that Oppo Find X9 Ultra will be among the most powerful Android smartphones of its generation. The new processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected to handle performance, delivering a noticeable improvement in both power and energy efficiency. This chipset will likely be one of the main pillars of the entire device, since Oppo’s flagship models always aim for maximum performance without compromises.

The battery capacity is also a strong point. According to available information, it should exceed the 7000 mAh mark, while some sources even mention roughly 7050 mAh to 7300 mAh. That’s a significant increase over the previous Find X8 Ultra model, which had a 6100 mAh battery. Charging should support up to 100 W via cable and likely around 50 W wireless charging as well.

QHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate

The front of the smartphone is expected to be covered by a large 6.82-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. The panel is said to be made by BOE, and in the testing phase it allegedly supported a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. However, the final retail version should offer the standard 120 Hz, which is common today for flagship models.

This combination of high resolution and refresh rate means extremely smooth animations and excellent image sharpness. Oppo also has a long track record of calibrating displays very well, so you can expect excellent color accuracy and a high maximum brightness suitable for use in direct sunlight.

Two 200 MP cameras and extreme zoom

The biggest draw of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will undoubtedly be the camera. According to leaked information, the device will offer a pair of 200 MPx sensors right away. The primary camera is expected to use the Sony Lytia 901 sensor with a size of around 1/1.12″, which should deliver exceptional dynamic range and detail.

In addition to the main sensor, there should also be a 200 MPx periscope telephoto lens. It’s expected to provide an optical zoom of about 3x and significantly better low-light sensitivity than previous generations. It will be complemented by another telephoto lens with a 50 MP resolution and up to 10x optical zoom. The ultrawide camera will be 50 MP, and the front selfie camera is also expected to offer 50 MP.

Camera-inspired design

According to leaked visualizations, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will have a fairly distinctive design. The back is dominated by a huge circular camera module that takes up practically the entire width of the device. This design is said to resemble classic digital cameras and highlight the photography focus of the smartphone.

Another interesting detail is the use of a combination of materials on the back. There are reports about a variant with a leather-like texture, which should improve grip when taking photos. There should be color versions in black, brown, and orange, with some variants possibly also featuring a classic glass back panel.

Global launch soon

Oppo has not announced an exact launch date yet, but based on available information, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra could appear on the global market between April and June 2026. It will most likely be unveiled first in China, and only afterwards will it be released in Europe and other regions.

If all these leaks are confirmed, we can expect one of the most ambitious Android smartphones of recent years. The combination of an extreme battery, the latest processor, and an advanced camera system could turn this model into one of the most interesting photo-centric phones on the market.
