A rich and high-quality package
The stick vacuum cleaner with a mop JIMMY PW11 Pro Max arrived to us in a box measuring 69 x 39.5 x 29 cm, with a total weight of 13.2 kg. The packaging is truly very extensive and consists of many parts. Everything is placed in the box in an exemplary way in molded cardboard. Each part is also wrapped in film.
The packaging quality is excellent, which we highly appreciate. The manufacturer also labels the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max as “5-in-1”, because besides the standard head for vacuuming carpets and floors, you’ll also find a mop with two brushes, an electric attachment for mattresses or a sofa, an upholstery brush, and a narrow crevice nozzle.
But that’s not all. The package also includes a pair of stands—one for the mopping part, and the other for the floor head with the stick and the individual attachments. As a bonus, you’ll also find a cleaning solution for the mop and a small rubber cleaning brush.
Build quality and design
With JIMMY vacuums, we remember their classic purple color, which gave them a rather cheap impression. Today, the manufacturer is gradually eliminating those bold color variants, and the latest models come in standard elegant colors such as gray, silver, or black.
It’s no different in this case. The JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is made mostly from glossy gray plastics and looks very good at first glance. The vacuum is fairly compact and narrow, which also has its downsides, which we’ll discuss later.
As for the quality of the plastics, it’s quite good, but some attachments don’t fit together quite ideally, and we’re missing a kind of “click” so we can tell that the attachment is properly slid in.
When we look at the control buttons, they’re located on the handle. Specifically, there’s a power on/off button, switching between modes, and water spraying. We also have two more buttons under the handle on the vacuum body, used to start cleaning and drying.
Accessories for vacuuming and modes
JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is essentially a multifunctional 5-in-1 stick vacuum cleaner. Let’s first take a look at vacuuming, which delivers 110 AW suction power with a 460 W motor.
The main accessory is the floor nozzle, which in this case includes a single rotating brush. It combines traditional bristles with a silicone spiral. It’s suitable for hard floors as well as carpets. It has large rubberized wheels and even LED lighting at the front, so you can see dust and other dirt more clearly.
The advantage of the floor nozzle is its flexibility and ability to bend up to 180°. With it, you can reach comfortably under the bed, a tall sofa, or under the table and chairs.
Another powered attachment is the turbo brush for mattresses and sofas. It’s basically a smaller version of the floor nozzle, and it also features a rotating brush.
The accessory set is completed with passive attachments—specifically a narrow crevice tool and a brush attachment for upholstery, which is also suitable for vacuuming a keyboard, for example.
Vacuuming performance and modes
JIMMY PW11 Pro Max has three performance modes. The first is the automatic mode, where the vacuum regulates the power automatically based on the surface being cleaned. The second mode is for floors, and the third—its strongest one—is for vacuuming carpets. You switch between modes simply using the button on the handle.
As for vacuuming performance, we don’t have any major complaints. The new JIMMY model cleans well, and its suction power is sufficient. As with other stick vacuums, the rotating brush plays the key role—it picks up dirt and sends it through the wand into the dust bin.
The vacuum is easy to handle, fits nicely in your hand, and thanks to the large wheels on the floor nozzle, it glides smoothly. The only issue is with larger particles like small stones, which it doesn’t pick up as easily—they’re more likely to be pushed forward by the floor nozzle. However, that’s a problem common to all such stick vacuums, since they collect dirt with the rotating brush rather than by pure air suction.
Surprisingly, though, it does vacuum well along the edges of the room and in corners, which can sometimes be a problem for vacuums.
Battery and charging
On the vacuum’s display, besides the selected mode, you can also see the runtime in minutes. There’s no percentage or graphical display of the remaining battery capacity, but it’s replaced by the time left until the battery runs out.
In Floor vacuuming mode, you get 43 minutes, and for carpets it’s 29 minutes. We used the automatic mode on the floor, so it displayed the same 43-minute figure as the Floor mode.
When it comes to real runtime, it’s actually higher when vacuuming tile or laminate flooring than what the display shows. After 13 minutes in Floor mode, the display on the vacuum dropped by only 10 minutes.
If the capacity falls to 8 minutes, the vacuum will reduce the power and notify you to charge it.
Not very convenient dust bin emptying
The drawback of the compact design is the fairly small dust container for dirt, which we had to empty quite often. To make matters worse, the manufacturer didn’t come up with a very good emptying solution. To get the dirt out, you have to remove the container from the vacuum, pull out the entire inner unit with the filter from the top, and only then empty it.
Thirdly, besides the small bin and inconvenient emptying, we also ran into another issue. Hair wraps around the inner filter in the container, so simply emptying the bin isn’t enough for a perfect clean-out—we often had to manually remove hair mixed with dust from the inner unit inside the dust container.
Mopping with a pair of mops
One big benefit of the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max stick vacuum is that the package also includes a mop. It’s basically a whole unit with a nozzle, a water and dirt container. You simply click the vacuum motor unit onto this part, and you can start mopping.
The mop includes a pair of rollers that are covered with textile and a tank for clean water. Even a cleaning solution is included, which is diluted with water at a 1:50 ratio. You’ll also find a spraying function.
On the mop handle, you’ll also find a container for dirty water, but unfortunately it’s quite small—just like the dust container. The upside is that if it fills up, the vacuum will notify you.
During mopping, the vacuum naturally also picks up dirt, which flows with the water into the mentioned container. From there, you simply pour it out along with the water, or it gets captured by the filters. The mopping quality is good, but if you want to remove something like spilled milk or any other liquid with the mop, keep in mind that you’ll likely need to go over the spot multiple times. Roborock Dyad Pro, which we tested a while ago, was slightly better in this respect.
A smaller issue is that a small amount of water also seeps into the dust container, which is—unfortunately—even while mopping still attached to the vacuum. So far it hasn’t caused any bigger problems, but it remains to be seen whether water could eventually reach the motor after long mopping sessions.
Cleaning and drying the mop
At first glance, the vacuum’s base seems kind of larger, which suggests it won’t be just some sort of holder. With the mop attached, the vacuum can clean and dry itself at this station.
We start the entire cleaning process by pressing the relevant button on the vacuum’s body. At that moment, water begins spraying through the front nozzle and flows into the base. The mops are then washed in that water. This process will repeat several times in a row.
We trigger the drying with another button, and it takes a few hours. After three hours, the mop is already quite dry. However, we recommend using a waterproof pad underneath the mop base as well, because even a small amount of water can seep onto the floor.
JIMMY PW11 Pro Max: Final assessment
The JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is a multifunctional vacuum with a mop. You’ll appreciate the strong suction performance, easy handling, with the option to fold it into a full flat position when vacuuming, as well as the good battery life on a single charge.
A huge advantage is the separate mopping unit, which is equipped with a pair of mops, a clean-water tank with a cleaning solution, and another tank for dirty water. At the docking station, the mops are simply cleaned and dried.
The downside is probably only the smaller dust container, which is also harder to empty—you can’t simply grab it and dump it out.
