Thanks to the XHP70.3 HI, you get a nice beam definition while still keeping it usable at medium range, so it doesn’t give that unnecessary tunnel effect.

An important element is the regulated boost driver. It keeps the output stable even when the cell voltage is lower, and it improves efficiency. In normal modes, you get more light for longer, which you’ll appreciate on hikes, while camping, or when working around the house.

Powering and charging

Sofirn SC33 uses a single Li-ion battery in size 21700, which is the ideal balance between capacity and dimensions. On low mode, you’ll get up to approximately 11.5 hours of continuous runtime—more than enough for all-day and night use without needing a charger.

Charging happens directly inside the body via USB-C 5V/2A, so you don’t need to carry an external charger. The connector is well protected, and the electronics monitor safety (overheating / overcurrent). For a longer battery life, you can also charge it through a power bank or a standard wall charger.
