It’ll be 5 years since we launched the XiaomiPlanet.sk website, and a year later, our sister site ChinaPlanet.sk. Over that time, we’ve managed to grow into one of the leading players in the market for Chinese products and coupons, and we’re currently the biggest Slovak affiliate partners for all the Chinese e-shops we work with.
For our visitors, readers, and fans, we try to create valuable and high-quality content that you won’t find anywhere else—and thanks to close cooperation with people in China, we also have exclusive discount coupon codes.
We’re looking for a full-time person!
Up to now, we’ve only been working full-time on both websites with just two people — me, the founder Kristián, and my brother, the ChinaPlanet.sk co-founder, Frederik. Besides that, we have a few talented guys working externally as editors. But we can’t keep up.
Now we’ve decided to take, at least for us, a big step forward and expand our team with another stable member who will work with us full time. Feel free to do it from the comfort of your home—where you are doesn’t matter. But we do care about work efficiency, since you’ll be responsible for both of our websites.
What will you be doing?
Working on both Xiaomi Planet and China Planet websites. Creating new articles, updating coupon codes, managing social media, testing products, writing reviews. We don’t have a name for this position, but you could call it a content manager / chief editor.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a versatile person who is advanced at using a computer, has a good grasp of IT and current technology trends—preferably also Chinese products that our websites publish about. Your Slovak grammar must be flawless, since you’ll be writing articles and reviews, and knowledge of English is also a must.
An advantage is if you already know how to use a WordPress content management system, since our sites run on it—but it’s not a requirement. We’ll gradually teach you everything. A huge plus is knowledge of graphic programs, whether it’s something simple or, ideally, the best-known one—Photoshop. Day to day, you’ll be editing photos for articles too.
We also need you to be independent and flexible—adjust your working hours. We won’t monitor or supervise you as long as you do your job. If you can get it done within 6 hours (it’s possible over time), you have the rest of the day for yourself—instead, if we ever need you to handle something ASAP in the evening, we expect you to be available.
Who knows—if you’re good at what you do, it could be a benefit for our company: coming up with new ideas. We’re open to an agreement on a profit-share from our companies. But that’s music of the future 🙂
