Samsung likes to claim that its cameras are always one step ahead of the competition. But the reality in 2025 says something else. Vivo has quietly prepared a real beast in the form of the Vivo X300 Pro module, and the latest comparison with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone shows that the South Korean giant may be living more off the past than the present.

Vivo X300 Pro was shown in a direct photo comparison at 10x and 35x zoom, taken in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. And the results? At 10x zoom, colors were balanced on both sides, but the X300 Pro managed to preserve much more detail — you can see the bird’s feather structure, fine lines, and far less noise. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, on the other hand, struggled with the typical artifacts from aggressive post-processing.

Pritom irónia je, že Vivo používa 200 MPx senzor ISOCELL HPB od samotného Samsungu, no kombinuje ho s vlastným spracovaním obrazu, ktoré zjavne odvádza lepšiu prácu. Presne tento senzor nájdeme aj v hlavnom foťáku modelu Vivo X300, ale aj ako 3,7x periskop pri X300 Pro.
While the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra still relies on an old 10 MPx sensor for its 3x telephoto lens, Vivo goes much further — it has a massive 200 MPx telephoto lens with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 3.7x zoom. And most importantly — that zoom really looks excellent.
Samsung may be preparing more AI tricks for the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, but according to available leaks, the camera itself won’t change much. That could be a problem — because rival brands like Vivo are already showing that they can deliver better real-world results. And with a starting price of €700 (in China), the X300 Pro is also significantly more affordable.

The front is dominated by a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260 × 2800 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Dolby Vision support, and extreme brightness of up to 4500 nits. Battery life is also impressive — the battery has a capacity of up to 6510 mAh (Chinese version, Si/C) and supports 90 W fast charging, 40 W wireless charging, and even reverse charging. The European version does have a smaller battery (5440 mAh, Li-Ion), but it’s still a very solid number.
