Quick summary

  • A leak revealed which models of the upcoming Chinese flagships will make it outside China.
  • Vivo X500 Ultra and OPPO Find X10 Ultra will reportedly stay limited to the domestic market.
  • Their place in the lineup will be taken by the Pro Max versions, which will go global.
  • Xiaomi 18 is set to be the first lineup in the brand’s history to go global entirely, including the Pro Max.
  • We have exclusive information from GShopper that the OPPO Find X10 Pro will be available.

Fall in China’s flagship shipyards will be packed: vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi will unveil their strongest phones within the next few weeks. The question that matters to us in Europe, however, is completely different: which of these models will actually make it here? A fresh leak is answering exactly that.

The Ultras stay at home, their job will be taken over by the Pro Max

The information was compiled by the Notebookcheck editorial team based on findings from the well-known insider Yogesh Brar. According to them, the vivo X500 Ultra and OPPO Find X10 Ultra will not get a global version. Both will remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

However, that doesn’t mean we’re losing the top model. Both brands ship to the world a base model and a Pro Max version, which will replace the missing Ultra in the lineup. The difference will mainly be in the zoom: the Find X10 Ultra is supposed to rely on a ten-times telephoto and a dual periscope with Hasselblad branding—exactly the kind of equipment that won’t be available outside China.

Vivo X500: Pro Max is going global, while for the Pro it’s unclear

With the vivo X500 series, the situation is the most complicated. The global version of the X500 Pro Max is reportedly confirmed, while things are still unclear for the X500 Pro. That model is said to feature a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens and be significantly more compact than its siblings.

Meanwhile, Vivo has officially confirmed that it will introduce the entire series in September, and revealed its main trump card: a ZEISS Ultra Dynamic camera with a dynamic range of 17EV and 4K video at 240 frames per second. The flagship X500 Pro Max is expected to feature a three-stage gimbal stabilization system and a 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip.

OPPO Find X10: three 200 Mpx sensors and a 2nm chip

We already wrote about OPPO’s flagship model at the end of July. Find X10 Pro Max is said to get a flat 6.78-inch LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution, the Dimensity 9600 Pro chip made using a 2nm process, and above all, a trio of 200 MP sensors branded with Hasselblad: the main and telephoto lenses with a 1/1.3-inch sensor size, plus an ultra-wide lens of roughly 1/1.5-inch.

This is the model that, according to the leak, should go global alongside the standard Find X10. OPPO is also expected to introduce the series in the same timeframe this autumn; according to Indian sources, even before the Diwali holiday.

Xiaomi 18: for the first time, the entire lineup will go global

The most interesting news concerns Xiaomi. The Xiaomi 18 series is set to be the first in the brand’s history to reach outside China in full: the base model, Pro, and Pro Max. Until now, the strongest versions were either delayed by months or never made it to Europe at all.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is set to take the place in the lineup that Ultra versions have held for years, and it should be priced accordingly. The cameras will remain in partnership with Leica. Exact dates for the global launch are not known yet, but the base model traditionally appears shortly after the China debut.

Exclusive: OPPO Find X10 Pro and the vivo X500 series will be available on GShopper

And here’s one more piece of info you won’t find anywhere else. We’ve confirmed directly with GShopper that OPPO Find X10 Pro and the vivo X500 series — together with the Honor Magic9 — will be included in their lineup. So if any of the models doesn’t officially make it to us or its arrival gets stretched out for months, there’s a way to get it sooner — without complicated importing.

It’s worth adding that the full overview above is still based on leaks, not official statements from manufacturers. Plans can also change at the very last minute. More than once, a model labeled as a China-only exclusive later appeared in Europe after just a few months.
