Aliexpress Russia is the subsidiary branch of the popular Chinese Aliexpress, from which many of you surely like to shop. Until now, we couldn’t order anything from the Russian branch, since no shipping method was available. But that’s now a thing of the past, and Aliexpress Russia is opening up to all of Europe. This is reported by the well-known portal Živé.sk.
Expansion into the European market
AliExpress is one of the most popular online marketplaces in the world, where many sellers offer their products. You’ll find a truly wide range of items here—from phone cases and protective screen covers to clothing and electronics from official sellers of major global brands.
Until now, we only had access to the global AliExpress website, where we could buy products from China or from European warehouses. Russian AliExpress didn’t offer shipping to Slovakia, or to any other European country either.
However, a few days ago, the AliExpress Russia subsidiary branch reported that it will allow its local sellers to export to countries outside Russia. The official information was published by the TASS news agency.
What can you buy on Russian AliExpress?
In a pilot phase—whose start and duration have not been specified in more detail—you’ll be able to purchase products for children from various brands. These include, for example, wooden toys from the Maskbro brand and kids’ clothing from Bossa Nova and Lucky Child.
AliExpress Russia CEO, Dmitry Sergeev, said that these children’s toys and clothing are among the highest-quality in the world. Their popularity in Russia is extremely high, and that’s why he wants to enable these manufacturers to sell their products around the world. You can also find products from the mentioned brands on international platforms like Amazon, Wish, or Allegro.
The parcels will be delivered by the Russian Post, which in the first phase will cover all shipping costs that arise for sellers. We’ll see if that means free delivery for us, as we’ve come to expect with many products.
