The popular Chinese e-commerce giant AliExpress is coming with a major update that will please thousands of Slovak customers. After years of restrictions and no option to choose an alternative payment method, AliExpress is finally letting Slovaks pay for orders via PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay too! From now on, shopping is a bit more convenient and, above all, safer.

If you order from AliExpress regularly, you know that until now the main options were credit and debit cards. PayPal wasn't available at all, and options like Apple Pay or Google Pay only appeared in some countries. But finally, Slovaks can also see these new options directly when choosing payment.
Safer and faster payments
New payment methods like PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay are not only fast, but also secure. Thanks to them, you don't have to enter your card number directly into the AliExpress system. PayPal in particular offers buyer protection, which is a big benefit when dealing with problematic orders, complaints, or items not received.
Support for these payment methods also shows that AliExpress is increasingly aware of the need for local adaptation. Slovaks and Czechs are important customers, and these updates only confirm that.
How does it work? Here's how to choose PayPal or Google/Apple Pay
The new options appear at checkout, only in the mobile app. If you shop on a computer, checkout now gives you only the option to pay via PayPal. These payment options are currently available:
- card payment (classic option),
- payment via PayPal,
- payment via Google Pay (visible on Android devices),
- payment via Apple Pay (visible on Apple devices).
If the new options still aren't showing up for you, try clearing the cache or updating the app. In our case, these options were mostly available only for Choice products or official brand stores. If you have your own screenshots or observations, feel free to send them to us - we'll be happy to add them to the article!
Not every seller supports payments
While AliExpress is officially introducing new payments for Slovakia, not all sellers have this option active. All we can do is hope that the platform will gradually implement these payment options for all merchants equally, so that in the end the customer benefits most.
This change is coming quite quietly, but from a customer perspective it's one of the biggest positive updates in recent months. PayPal is especially popular among those who value security and protection when shopping online. You'll also appreciate Google Pay and Apple Pay if you want to shop quickly and without having to fill in details unnecessarily.
Will you use the new payment options on AliExpress?
Don't forget to share this update with friends who often shop on AliExpress - they may not even have noticed that these options have been added. Shopping from China is now even easier and more convenient.
