Touchscreen gaming has its limits, and once you try Xbox Cloud, Steam Link, or a regular emulator with proper sticks, you just don’t want to go back to finger-on-glass. GameSir G8 Plus is a foldable Bluetooth controller—just insert your phone, foldable, or a smaller tablet with a length from 110 to 215 mm, and you get something like a Nintendo Switch. It has Hall sticks and triggers, a gyroscope, vibrations, and two back buttons, and from the Banggood warehouse in the Czech Republic you can grab it now for under 55 €.
Mobile gaming console, delivered from Czechia
GameSir G8 Plus is sold by Banggood from the warehouse in the Czech Republic, so it will arrive to you in about five days and you don’t pay anything extra—VAT (DPH) and shipping are included. In the same offer you’ll also find the wired version G8 Galileo in gray, plus a separate protective case that’s handy for carrying the controller in your backpack.

Bluetooth or USB-C: which of the two should you choose
At first glance, both controllers look similar, but they differ fundamentally in how they connect to your phone. The black G8 Plus connects via Bluetooth 5.3 and has its own 1000 mAh battery, split into two 500 mAh cells in both handles, making it balanced. The manufacturer states battery life up to 12 hours, and the controller charges via USB-C. Since it doesn’t require a connector, you can even insert your phone with a thin case, a foldable, or an iPad mini, and connect it to Nintendo Switch or a computer as well.
The gray G8 Galileo connects directly to your phone’s USB-C port, so it has no battery, doesn’t need charging, and the response time is as low as possible. It also offers a 3.5 mm headphone jack and pass-through phone charging while gaming—something the G8 Plus can’t do. If you only play on one USB-C phone, Galileo is more practical; if you want a controller for multiple devices, go for the G8 Plus.
What buyers say
On Banggood, the controller has 48 reviews with an average rating of 4,98 out of 5. A buyer from Slovakia uses it with a OnePlus 13 phone in a case and admits that at first it didn’t fit, but after peeling off a piece of plastic from the case, it sat perfectly. They add that for bigger hands the controller may be a bit smaller, but you can get used to it. A customer from India praises the comfortable ergonomics, and a buyer from the UK confirms they received the original product in perfect condition.
Also worth noting is the weight, which is about 314 g due to the battery—so over 60 g more than the wired G8 Galileo. With a phone in your hand during longer gaming sessions, you’ll feel it, but the weight is distributed evenly on both sides.
Hall sticks and triggers that won’t start drifting
Both the sticks and triggers use Hall sensors, which detect position magnetically without mechanical contact—so they don’t wear out over time and the controller won’t start moving your character or camera on its own. The triggers have two modes you switch using a toggle switch: a smooth analog travel is great for racing games where you modulate the throttle, and a short “hair trigger” for shooters where the firing speed matters.
Under your thumbs you’ll find a classic console layout, including the directional pad, plus two programmable back buttons—you assign any function to them in the app, for example reloading or jumping.
Gyroscope, vibrations, and a controller made to fit you
The G8 Plus has a built-in six-axis gyroscope, so in supported games you aim by tilting the controller, and the vibrations add console-like feedback. In the free GameSir app for Android and iOS, you can set stick dead zones, remap buttons, and update the firmware.
The controller cover is held on with magnets and folds, and you can rearrange the ABXY buttons depending on whether you’re used to the Xbox or Nintendo layout. You can also swap the stick caps if you prefer them higher or lower.
One limitation is good to know when gaming on PC. Via Bluetooth, the G8 Plus doesn’t connect to your PC as an Xbox controller, so some games won’t recognize it right away—and Steam mapping will help. On a phone, tablet, or Switch, it doesn’t matter, and with cloud services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link, Moonlight, or Parsec it works without any problems.
