Oddities from AliExpress #2

15. March 2026 13 min read 0 comments

AliExpress is mainly known for cheap electronics, home gadgets, and various little things for a few euros. But if you start digging a bit deeper into the offers, you’ll come across products that make your brain go blank. This Chinese marketplace is so huge that almost anything is sold there—from bizarre gadgets to items you’d more expect in a professional catalog for companies.

Follow our Facebook page

That’s why we prepared a second installment of the Oddities from AliExpress series, where we pick interesting, weird, or completely unexpected products that you can buy on this marketplace. Some are practical, others are more for laughs, and with some you’ll probably wonder who would even order them. But one thing is certain—AliExpress can always surprise you.

1. Hybrid submarine for trips below the surface

AliExpress can also surprise you in a category that probably almost nobody would expect—watercraft. Among the interesting finds, we spotted, for example, a hybrid watercraft that combines a classic boat with a small submarine. It’s an unconventional machine designed mainly for tourist sightseeing rides, where passengers can enjoy a view of the world under the water directly from a glass cabin.

This model has a length of roughly 3.5 meters and can take 1 to 4 people. The upper part works like a regular boat, while the lower section has a glass module that lets you see what’s going on under the water.

The construction is made of aluminum, and the manufacturer states that it can use a gasoline engine with power of approximately 40 to 60 hp. The vessel has fairly compact dimensions and a low weight of about 68 kilograms (without the engine), which makes transport and handling easier.

2. Futuristic capsule house straight out of space

Among the bizarre—but also fascinating—items we came across a futuristic capsule house that looks like a module right from a space station. It’s a prefabricated mobile home designed to offer modern living in a compact, design-wise unconventional package.

The whole concept is built on a modular structure, which means the house can be transported and installed practically anywhere—from tourist resorts to private plots in nature. The design resembles a space capsule with large panoramic windows that provide a beautiful view of the surroundings.

The construction uses modern composite materials that are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and have good insulation properties. The manufacturer states a lifespan of about 20 years and a weight range of 2000 to 5000 kilograms depending on the configuration. The interior can be customized—it can include a bathroom, shower, bed, kitchenette, projector, or even a smart toilet. Another interesting feature is the option for eco-friendly operation using solar energy.

3. The Terminator T-800 skull in full life size

If you’re a fan of sci-fi movies, this piece will definitely make you smile. On AliExpress, you can also buy a 1:1 replica of the Terminator T-800 skull, meaning the iconic robotic endoskeleton from the legendary Terminator film series. It’s a collectible model in real size made from polyresin, designed to imitate the look of the movie prop as faithfully as possible. The most noticeable feature is, of course, the red LED eyes, which when turned on create that exact “terminator” effect.

The model is approximately 39 centimeters tall and weighs around 5 kilograms, so it’s definitely not a small decoration. It’s made especially for movie fans, collectors, or as an unusual accessory for your gaming room or office.

4. Brutal gaming cockpit

On AliExpress we found a real futuristic-style gaming cockpit that looks more like a control center from a sci-fi movie than a classic PC setup. It’s a massive piece of equipment with an integrated seat, an arched frame for monitors, and a bunch of add-ons that literally “wrap” the player into their own gaming world.

The whole setup is made of a metal frame from rolled steel and weighs about 160 kilograms, so you’re looking at a truly solid piece of equipment. The cockpit supports setups with one to three monitors, and the maximum size of a single display can reach up to 49 inches on ultra-wide panels. Of course, there’s also an ergonomic seat, electric adjustment for some elements, RGB backlighting, speakers, and even a cup holder—so you can spend long hours gaming without having to leave your “command chair”.

Such solutions are often used in professional e-sports centers, gaming zones, or internet cafés across Asia, where players have access to full-fledged gaming stations. This model measures approximately 1790 × 1010 × 1900 mm and runs on 100 – 240 V, with a total power consumption of around 120 W.

5. Smart toilet or a space egg?

When you look at this product, you’d probably never guess it’s a toilet. Design-wise it looks more like a futuristic gadget or some kind of space egg. On AliExpress, though, it’s sold as a fully automatic smart toilet that combines a modern minimalist look with lots of tech features.

This model offers automatic lid opening via a sensor, UV sterilization, a bidet, water heating for rinsing, and even a drying function with four intensity levels. Of course, there’s also a heated seat, an ionization deodorizing function, and ambient LED lighting that creates a neat “floating toilet” effect above the floor. The manufacturer also states that the flush is very quiet at around 50 dB, so it shouldn’t disturb you even at night.

What’s also interesting is that the toilet practically doesn’t require any high water pressure, so it works even in households with a weaker water supply. The ceramic and ABS plastic construction can handle loads up to 500 kilograms, and the overall dimensions are about 680 × 500 × 560 mm. Whether you want a practical smart device or the most stylish “egg” for your bathroom, one thing’s for sure—among AliExpress oddities, this futuristic toilet is definitely one of the most interesting pieces.

6. Unconventional skates with huge wheels

At first glance, it looks like a mix of a bicycle, a scooter, and roller skates. This odd AliExpress product is actually skates with huge inflatable wheels that have a diameter of about 20 inches. Instead of the small wheels you know from inline skates, you get big pneumatic tires similar to those on a bicycle. The whole mechanism is attached to your foot with straps, and the rider moves by pushing off—just like when skating.

The advantage of large wheels is mainly better stability and the ability to ride on surfaces where classic skates would immediately give up. The manufacturer states that these “mega skates” can handle rougher asphalt, gravel, or even slightly grassy slopes. Thanks to the large wheel diameter, speed is maintained with less effort, and the ride can feel more like a bicycle without a seat or handlebars.

7. A realistically usable mini excavator

On this huge marketplace, you can also buy products that you’d rather expect at a construction company than in a courier package. One such item is, for example, a tracked mini excavator, which is normally available to order directly from AliExpress. We also wrote about it in this article, where we checked its real price. It’s a compact work machine designed for smaller construction jobs, farms, or land preparation. Despite its relatively small size, it offers full functionality of a standard excavator — it can dig, move soil, or work with various attachments. Thanks to its compact design with a length of about 3.2 meters, it can move even in places where large construction machinery can’t reach.

The manufacturer lists an engine with output of approximately 18.4 kW, which provides enough power for regular digging work. Such machines are often used, for example, for building fences, small foundations, drainage systems, or for maintaining farms and gardens.

What’s interesting is that various attachments can be connected to the excavator, turning it into a universal working helper. On AliExpress, the manufacturer highlights a robust factory-built construction and easy handling thanks to a weight of around 1800 kg. It’s exactly the kind of product where you realize how wide the range on this Chinese marketplace really is—everything from small gadgets to nearly two-ton construction machines.

They’re controlled from a safe distance, have excellent traction, and are delivered directly from a European warehouse with no extra charges.

These are even products from verified sellers with reviews that are genuinely worth ordering, and their price isn’t at all inflated. They’re located in a European warehouse with customs-free shipping. Delivery takes about 5–9 business days. We made an article about both models: here.

9. A robot that delivers food

Future restaurants may not need traditional waiters. On AliExpress, you can even buy a food delivery robot, designed for restaurants, hotels, cafés, or even hospitals. It’s an autonomous device with multiple shelves that can transport food from the kitchen directly to customers. These robots are already used today mainly in Asia, where they help staff and also serve as an interesting attraction for guests.

The robot uses a navigation system LDS SLAM and VSLAM, which allows it to orient itself precisely in the space and avoid obstacles between tables. It can move at a speed of approximately 0.5 to 1.2 m/s, and on a single charge it can work for up to 24 hours, while the system’s maximum runtime is up to 48 hours. If the battery runs out, the robot automatically returns to the charging station. Charging itself takes about 4 hours.

The device is approximately 132 cm tall, weighs around 40 kilograms, and features several large food trays. Each shelf can carry several kilograms of food or drinks, so the robot can serve multiple tables at once. Besides delivering food, it can also act as a navigation robot for guests—e.g., escorting them to their table or providing basic information.

10. A bionic exoskeleton with artificial intelligence

You can also find a bionic exoskeleton with AI support here. It’s designed to help support movement when walking or doing sports activities. This is a device that attaches to the user’s waist and legs, and with motors plus intelligent control it assists movement—reducing muscle strain.

This kind of technology is used in healthcare, rehabilitation, or industry—for example, to help workers handle physically demanding tasks. However, this particular model is intended more for outdoor activities, hiking, or long walks. The intelligent system analyzes the user’s movement and adjusts the assistance so walking is more efficient and less tiring.

The exoskeleton is made from lightweight materials and has a modular folding design, so it can be transported relatively easily. The manufacturer also states it has a high-capacity battery, which allows for longer use without frequent charging. Even though it’s a fairly advanced piece of technology, on AliExpress you can find it just as easily as ordinary headphones or a charger—which is kind of bizarre in itself.

11. Meme doormats featuring Nicolas Cage

The internet loves weird meme pictures, and AliExpress knows that well. One of the most bizarre items you can find there is a doormat with Nicolas Cage’s face—peeking out of the water just like in the famous internet meme. One look is all it takes, and every visit to your door turns into a funny moment, because instead of a regular doormat, the actor greets you with his legendary expression.

The doormat is made from a combination of polyester and PVC, with an anti-slip bottom layer—so besides the humor, it also serves a practical purpose at the entrance to your apartment or house. It’s available in multiple sizes, from about 40 × 60 cm to 80 × 120 cm, so it works not only in front of the door, but also in the hallway, bathroom, or as a funny room accessory. It’s exactly the kind of product you might never think to search for—but once you see it, you’ll immediately understand why it exists.
