Just a few days ago, we informed you about the entry of the Chinese giant BYD into the Czech market, and within a few days it also became official in Slovakia! The automaker held a press conference at Bratislava Castle, where we also learned the official prices of three models that will be sold with us for now.
BYD officially starts selling in Slovakia
In this article, we informed you about the automaker’s plans to enter the Czech-Slovak markets — which is now already a reality. We also found out which models, in which configurations, you’ll see here, but we didn’t yet know the official prices.
Behind the arrival of the BYD brand to the Slovak market is the company Auto – Impex, which is well known here mainly for selling Nissan vehicles. To support the sales of new BYD models, it plans to leverage its already established network of showrooms and service centers across Slovakia.
We already have the official Slovak prices for three models!
As reported by magazin.autobazar.eu, prices for models from the Chinese automaker BYD have officially arrived on the Slovak market. Its stylish sedan BYD SEAL starts from €45,690 and is offered in two equipment trims – Design and Excellence-AWD (from €50,790). The base version uses rear-wheel drive via a single electric motor, draws power from an 82.5 kWh battery, and according to the manufacturer data it covers 570 km on a single charge. A 15.6-inch rotating display and a Level 2 autonomous driving control system are also included.
The next model is the BYD SEAL U DM-i, which will be sold in three trims. The most affordable version Boost starts at €38,490, the mid-range Comfort costs €40,990, and the top trim Design is sold for €45,590.
The third introduced model is the SUV BYD Sealion 7, which can be bought in three versions. The entry model Comfort starts at €47,690, customers pay extra for the Design AWD at €58,790, and the top version Excellence AWD costs €56,390.
Great warranty terms!
What, however, may be even more impressive than the prices themselves are the warranty conditions that BYD offers. For the vehicle as a whole, it comes with a 6-year or 150,000 km warranty. Traction batteries are protected even longer – up to 8 years or 200,000 km, with the manufacturer guaranteeing that their capacity will not drop below 70%. The same warranty duration is provided for the electric motors and the control unit, with a limit of 150,000 km.
