At the heart of the Lenovo LP5 is a 13mm dynamic driver with a dual vibration diaphragm, responsible for reproducing the full frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Impedance ranges from 32–100 Ω, and sensitivity reaches 96 dB, which is a solid baseline for earbuds in this price category. Total harmonic distortion is rated at 5%, which doesn’t pose any real issue for normal listening at reasonable volumes.

AAC codec support ensures better audio transmission quality compared to the basic SBC, which especially iPhone users will appreciate. Maximum output power 10 mW is the standard for earbuds of this type, and in practice it means more than enough volume even in a noisy environment. Passive isolation combined with an in-ear design does the job — with the right ear tip size, unwanted background sounds are well suppressed.

Battery life, charging, and connectivity

The battery in each earbud has a capacity of 35 mAh, and charging is done via the charging case with a Type-C port, which is a nice standard these days. Total charging time is about 1.5 hours, so it’s nothing too long. Wireless connection range is rated up to 10 meters, which is typical for TWS earbuds and completely sufficient for everyday use.

A note from the manufacturer says that some units may be shipped with Bluetooth version 5.0 instead of the newer 5.3, as the stock is gradually selling through older inventory. In practice, the difference between these two versions is minimal, but if it matters to you, it’s good to know in advance. The earbuds are compatible with both Android and iOS without needing any app.

Touch controls and microphone

The Lenovo LP5 feature touch controls that let you switch tracks, adjust volume, take calls, and activate a voice assistant directly on the earbud. So there’s no need to grab your phone every time you want to change something. Controls are intuitive and, after a short getting-used-to period, they work reliably.

The microphone is equipped with ambient noise reduction, so calls should be clear even in busier places. Binaural calling through both earbuds ensures the other person hears you well without echoes or noise. For work calls on the go or everyday calls, these earbuds are fully up to the task.

Design and water resistance

The earbud body is plastic, available in white and gray. The semi-open earcup design combined with an in-ear fit creates a comfortable balance between isolation and comfort during long wear.
