Laser engravers for the home workshop have been around for years, but the same limitation almost always applies: one machine, one laser type, one material group. Want to engrave wood and also mark stainless steel? You buy two machines. Creality Falcon T1 takes a different path — it’s one enclosed station where you swap out the laser module itself, without tools, in fifteen seconds.

What customers say
The machine has a 4.67 out of 5 rating from 33 customers at the store, and the reviews keep repeating the same points. A German customer who bought the Falcon T1 for a jewelry workshop praises fiber-laser engraving on gold and silver and says the galvo speed significantly shortened serial production; as a major plus, he mentions LightBurn support. A Czech customer writes after a month of use that both precision and speed are at a professional level, and that the Falcon Design Space software is intuitive.
A Norwegian reviewer says projects that used to take him hours are now done in minutes. A Polish reviewer also appreciates that one machine handles paper, wood, leather, bamboo, and dark acrylic, and that the 175 × 175 mm work area is enough for his projects. To be fair, there are only 33 reviews so far and the machine has been on the market for a short time — you can’t judge long-term reliability from them.
Five lasers in one machine
This is the main reason why the Falcon T1 exists. On the same platform, you can deploy a 20W diode, 40W diode, 20W fiber, 60W MOPA, or 5W UV laser. The blue diode works at a wavelength of 445 ± 15 nm and is at home on wood, leather, MDF, bamboo, textiles, or dark acrylic. Fiber and MOPA run at 1064 ± 5 nm, i.e., into the infrared range, where you engrave stainless steel, aluminum, brass, titanium, silver, and even gold. The UV laser at 355 ± 2 nm is “cold” and handles glass, crystal, ceramics, and transparent acrylic that other lasers either can’t handle or would burn.
Module swapping is tool-free, and the manufacturer rates it at 15 seconds. In practice, that means you can mark a metal tag with the fiber laser on one job and then immediately cut a wooden coaster with the diode, without recalibrating the whole workspace. But there’s one thing to note: the modules are sold separately, and the machine price always includes only the one you selected when ordering.
Accuracy 0,001 mm — but with realistic expectations
The manufacturer states engraving accuracy of up to 0,001 mm, which should be almost 50× finer resolution than on standard diode machines. This is the manufacturer’s figure, and in practice you’ll only reach it with proper calibration and tuned parameters for the specific material — the company itself admits this in the product notes. Even so, it’s a different league from an open diode engraver for a few hundred euros: you can see the difference in subtle photo transitions and in thin lines that don’t blur together.
The result is thanks to a galvo system — instead of moving the whole laser head across the surface, mirrors steer the beam. That’s why the Falcon T1 can handle speeds that a classic gantry design simply can’t.
Up to 10 000 mm/s, but the area is only 175 × 175 mm
According to the manufacturer, the maximum processing speed is up to 10,000 mm/s, or roughly 8× more than on typical machines. That’s exactly what customers mention in reviews — batch production of smaller items that used to take hours now fits into minutes.
The trade-off for the galvo construction is the working area of 175 × 175 mm. For labels, jewelry, bottle openers, pendants, wooden coasters, or smaller plaques, it’s more than enough—this isn’t a machine for cutting large sheets of plywood. Make sure you clarify this before buying: it’s the biggest compromise of the whole concept.
Camera, software and safety
Falcon T1 features a HD smart camera with autofocus and live preview, so you can place your design directly onto the image of the material and monitor the process on the screen. It also comes with AI tools for generating 3D relief, removing the background, extracting outlines, and adjusting colors. Control is possible via the dedicated Falcon Design Space, but also through LightBurn or LaserGRBL—on both Windows and macOS. Connection options include Wi‑Fi or USB, and supported formats are JPG, PNG, DXF, and SVG.
Safety matters too: the machine is fully enclosed and certified as Class 1, with multiple sensors and dual flame detection. With lasers of this power, it’s not just marketing—it’s why you can even set it up in a living room or garage without a separate laser enclosure. However, keep in mind that fume extraction needs to be purchased separately, and when cutting wood, you’ll truly want to use it.
