During a conference from a few days ago, the manufacturer DJI introduced the long-awaited successor to the popular Mavic Mini, called DJI Mini 2. We’ve been waiting for major upgrades.
The main advantage of both of these drones is their weight. After all, they both weigh only 249 grams, which helps them avoid the necessary certification. From the new year, new regulations will start applying across the entire EU, but their contents are still not fully clear.
Great coupon prices
The seller Banggood has a great product lineup, complemented by the newest DJI Mini 2. A coupon is available for the basic bundle, but also for the expanded Fly More Combo bundle. The price is much better than with our local sellers.
We recommend choosing EU Priority Line shipping so you can avoid customs duties and VAT. The drone will be shipped on November 26, so you’ll have to wait less time for delivery.
DJI Mini 2 official video:
4K video, higher speed, OsuSync
The biggest upgrade, without a doubt, is support for 4K video. The predecessor could offer a maximum resolution of 2.7K, which was enough, but with 4K you can capture far more detail. The frame rate at the highest resolution is 24, 25, or 30.
The sensor, which is traditionally mounted on a 3-axis gimbal, has a standard size of 1/2,3″ and a resolution of 12 MPx. A four-times zoom and a two-times zoom without loss of quality have also been added. Of course, shooting in JPG or RAW is available.
As we mentioned, a truly big improvement has been made across the entire wireless video and signal transmission system. It’s called OcuSync 2.0, and compared to the original Mavic Mini, the range increased from 4 km to a great 10 km.
Another positive change is undoubtedly the increased battery life and maximum speed. The Mavic Mini could fly for 30 minutes on a single charge, while the Mini 2 improves endurance up to 31 minutes. It’s not a huge difference, but since the weight is the same, it’s a welcome upgrade.
Speed increased from the original 46 km/h to an impressive almost 60 km/h. There are several useful improvements, and it’s great to see that DJI is trying to meet its fans’ wishes and turn them into reality.
The price is excellent
It’s probably no secret that as the drone’s features improved, the price also went up. The variant with basic accessories starts at €459, while you’ll pay €599 for the expanded Fly More Combo.
Sooner or later, we expect it to become available through well-known global retailers, which will drop the price even further. If you want to get the drone already now, you can do it on the official DJI website.
