It’s been a couple of weeks since Lenovo revealed their gaming tablet design under the Legion Y700 label in a few photos. Now we can see it in real photos, side by side with the iPad mini.

A leaker shared live photos

Leaker Fat Boy on the Chinese social network Weibo posted a message that the Legion Y700 gaming tablet ended up in his hands. He even compared it to a small tablet from the American Apple, the latest iPad mini.

The Lenovo Legion Y700 should have a 8,8-inch display. For comparison, the iPad mini 6th generation has a slightly smaller, 8,3-inch Retina display. This display will feature a resolution of 2 560 x 1 600 pixels and can boast a 120-hertz refresh rate and a 240-hertz sampling rate.

It will also offer 100-percent coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut. The aspect ratio of the displays is different, and we can see that the Legion Y700 is taller than the iPad mini. It’s also thicker compared to the iPad. The top and bottom bezels are thicker than the ones on the sides of the display.

From the images, it’s clear that Lenovo’s tablet has two speaker vents. One at the top and one at the bottom of the device. We already know that these speakers were tuned by JBL and they support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies. So you can look forward to some proper stereo sound.

On the top you can also see a 3,5-millimeter audio connector, and again at the bottom there’s a modern USB-C port. This placement isn’t too unfortunate, because when plugging in the charging cable and headphones, this arrangement of the connectors might be impractical. We also believe Lenovo will bring a solid dose of fast charging and a respectable battery capacity.

Snapdragon 888 is still enough

It was rumored that the tablet would be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, but in the end it turns out it will most likely be Snapdragon 888. That’s not a problem at all, because the tablet will still have more than enough performance. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 could be installed in the Lenovo Legion Y900 tablet.
