Detailed video review:
Great specs
A fairly popular beginner drone called JJRC X12 comes with a durable plastic frame, which means it’s well protected while still staying nicely lightweight. Its weight, specifically, is just 437 grams.
Thanks to the ultrasonic sensor, barometer and GPS, the drone can offer various interesting features, such as automatic altitude holding, automatic takeoff and landing, route tracing via pre-set checkpoints, or tracking marked objects in real time.
Stabilized Full HD camera
As for the sensor itself, for a price under 200 you’re getting quite a lot. The 1/3,2″ CMOS sensor with a 35 mm focal length features an f/2.6 aperture, a 80° field of view, 50× digital zoom, a maximum ISO 3200 value, and Full HD video resolution Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels).
A nice extra, especially in this price category, is the installed 3-axis stabilization. Its main job is to keep the footage beautifully steady, which makes the shots look much better and more professional. We definitely applaud the manufacturer for implementing the stabilization.
The controller you’ll find in the package communicates with the drone using a 5 GHz Wi‑Fi signal, with a range of up to a nice 1200 meters. The included 2400 mAh battery provides a flight time of up to 25 minutes per charge, while charging from 0 to 100% takes about 5 hours.
