MECHTRON TL-G007S looks like a toy at first glance, but in reality it’s a cordless screwdriver with a drilling function. Its shape resembles a futuristic pistol from a video game, and through the transparent cover you can see the motor, gears, and the circuit boards. It’s sold in a gift box and with a stand, so after work you can place it on your desk as a design piece. In the Geekbuying EU warehouse, you’ll find it in both the Lite and PRO versions.

A screwdriver that looks like a cyberpunk prop
With standard tools, performance matters and the design doesn’t get much attention—unless MECHTRON flips the script and turns an ordinary cordless screwdriver into a collector’s item. The body has a boxy shape with a handle that forms an almost perfect right angle with the rest of the body, so it feels in your hand like a pistol from a sci‑fi movie. The lower part of the handle is made by a removable battery, and the top is covered with transparent plastic, underneath which you’ll find two decorative circuit boards.
The Lite version is available in black transparent, purple, pink, and white, and each one has its own color theme and print. It weighs 600 grams, and with dimensions of 183 × 178 × 47 mm it fits in a regular drawer—so you don’t have to store it in a case with your other tools.
Lite version: two speeds and a torque of 15 N·m
The cheaper Lite version runs on 8 V and has two speed settings—first at 300 and second at 1,000 revolutions per minute. The torque reaches up to 15 N·m, which is enough for assembling furniture, mounting shelves, drilling into wood and thin sheet metal, and even hammer drilling for softer materials. For concrete and masonry, use it rather not—regular compact cordless drill/drivers typically have two to four times higher torque.
The manufacturer also mentions intelligent “AI” control that, based on the load, automatically adjusts the speed and torque, so you won’t easily overdrive a screw into soft wood like you would at full power. The electronics also protect the motor and the battery against overheating, overvoltage, undervoltage, excessive current, and motor stalling.
The battery slides in like a magazine
What stands out most is the battery swap. The battery with a capacity of 2 000 mAh slides into the handle from the bottom like a magazine, and you eject it with a single press—while a digital indicator on its side shows in percent how much power is left. It charges via USB‑C from a standard 5 V charger, so you don’t need a special station, and a full charge of the Lite version takes about two and a half hours.
You switch the speed mode with a single button on the body. In the Lite version package, besides the tool itself, you’ll also get two bits, a USB cable, and an accessory box—however, you’ll need to buy a larger set of bits separately.
PRO version: LED display and desktop stand
The pricier PRO version has a silver body and, on top, a LED display with numerical data—then the screwdriver wakes up from power-saving mode in one second. It comes with a stand on which the tool sits like a display piece, and according to the manufacturer’s photos, it also includes compartments for bits and drill bits. The battery is the same: 2,000 mAh in the magazine, and in standby mode, according to the manufacturer, it lasts up to 90 days.
On paper, the PRO is weaker than the Lite because it runs on 7.4 V and smoothly regulates speeds from 0 to 900 per minute. The torque is only 5 N·m for electric drive and 8 N·m for manual tightening. If you mainly want to drill, go for the Lite, while the PRO is suited for someone who wants an eye‑catching screwdriver for small home jobs—then proudly displays it on the desk.
