The company Nubia, which is listed under ZTE, officially introduced a new flagship for the Nubia Z30 Pro line. It offers great specs, but it will be available only in the Chinese market.
Rebranded ZTE
The fact that Chinese companies launch smartphones under another brand and name, and sell them in different global markets, is something we’re used to already with Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO. It’s no different in this case.
The Nubia Z30 Pro smartphone is nothing more than a dressed-up ZTE AXON 30 Ultra device. The differences are in a smaller battery capacity, support for fast charging, and a wider range of color options.
Great display
The device will be sold in three color variants. They are Vast Black, Interstellar Silver, and Black Gold Legend. The smartphone measures 161.83 x 73.01 x 8.5 mm and weighs just under the 200-gram mark, at 198 grams.
On the front, there’s a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of Full HD + (2 400 x 1 080 pixels). You’ll also get a high refresh rate of the display of up to 144 Hz. The aspect ratio is 20:9, and the display-to-front ratio is an impressive 93.45 %. This SGS Eye Care-certified panel covers 100 % of the DCI-P3 color gamut. You’ll also find an in-display fingerprint reader.
Top-notch internals
As for the processor used, the manufacturer went for the best that’s currently available in the Android world. It’s nothing other than the Snapdragon 888 with 5G network support.
It can be paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage UFS 3.1. To prevent excessive heating, the smartphone is equipped with a liquid cooling system.
Quality cameras
A quad of rear cameras hides a main lens with 64 MP resolution and optical stabilization, plus a 64-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view, another 64-megapixel lens, and everything is rounded out by a 8-megapixel periscope lens with 5x zoom and optical stabilization. The selfie camera is tucked away in a cutout and has a resolution of 16 MPx.
Nubia has even partnered with the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for the NEOVISION 10 display system.
There’s dual-SIM, 5G, the latest Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and stereo speakers support. However, it’s missing a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. The operating system is the current Android 11, running on the manufacturer’s own Nubia UI 9.0 skin.
The battery has a standard capacity of 4 200 mAh, but what’s more interesting is that the maximum charging power is up to 120 W. The manufacturer promises a full charge in just 15 minutes.
Such a powerful adapter, of course, is included right in the box along with a USB C charging cable, a USB C-to-3,5-millimeter jack connector adapter, and also a protective rubber case.
