realme Smart TV Stick: 1080p streaming and HDMI connector
Cheaper of the two models (there’s also a 4K stick) looks practically identical from a design perspective. This compact matte-black cube features a built-in HDMI 1.4 connector for connecting to your TV, as well as a microUSB connector for the power cable. As for wireless connectivity, it offers reliable Wi‑Fi, plus Bluetooth 5.0.
It supports streaming 1080p (Full HD) content at 60 frames per second. For comparison, the more expensive model offers up to 4K resolution at 60 fps. Either way, both models also support HDR10+, and both include a remote control in the box.
On the performance side, you get the same processor as the more expensive model. It helps turn your older HD / Full HD TV into a smarter one with a not-fully-specified quad-core chip, featuring four ARM Cortex-A35 cores. The setup is completed by 1 GB of RAM, which should be enough given the lower resolution (the realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick has 2 GB RAM).
Another clear difference between them is the software. As the name suggests, the more expensive model comes with support for the Google TV interface on top of Android TV 11. Meanwhile, the cheaper realme Smart TV Stick doesn’t have this Google interface. It does offer Android TV 11 with support for well-known platforms, a built-in Chromecast, and Google Assistant.
