Running treadmills are no longer just a feature of fitness centers, as there are several manufacturers on the market offering them at fairly affordable prices. Among them is the Mobvoi brand, which also, among other things, is behind the TicWatch smartwatches, and they have a model called Mobvoi Home Treadmill Pro. We ordered it for testing because it offers a very tempting price-to-specs ratio.

Folding was very easy
The treadmill is delivered in a fairly large box weighing up to 38 kg, so you need help with handling it from at least two people, or one person with a lot of strength. The box was packed quite securely; plastic braces were also placed on the edges and the treadmill was wrapped in a protective layer of polystyrene. We had a hole in the box, but it was taped over and the treadmill had no damage, since it was a place under the treadmill where there was air cushioning.
The belt consists of one entire foldable body, so all you had to do was take it out of the box and it was almost ready. In another smaller box, the folded handles were included; they were simply installed with a large screw.
The box also includes a smartphone holder for mounting, along with the screws from the box. All you had to do was attach the magnetic safety brake in its place and plug in the power cable. Everything needed for installation, including the tools, is in the box along with a manual in English.
A good folding mechanism
The Mobvoi Home Treadmill Pro has a very well thought-out riser folding system (both armrests with a display). On the right side there is a crank that loosens the folding mechanism, and then you can lift the riser up or fold it down again.
You can use the treadmill with the riser, where there is also a clear main display and control elements.
For tracking the distance traveled and elapsed time, there’s also a smaller secondary display at the front, where the power cable and a speaker are located as well.
A clear advanced display
The main display with controls looks great, as it’s built directly into the front plastic. On the left side, it shows the number of steps taken or heart rate; the middle counter shows the current speed, time, or distance; and right after that there are buttons to control the treadmill. On the right side, the current mode is shown as dots.
Running treadmill modes
Before starting the treadmill, you can set the running or walking mode thanks to the “Target” button. If you just want to run for fun, just turn it on. But if you want to set a goal, you can do that too. These modes are available:
- Distance – set a target distance
- Calories – set a target value for burned calories
- Time – set a target time
Then there are also preset modes from the manufacturer, marked from P1 up to P20, and their representation is precisely on the right side via colored dots. However, the manual completely lacks their descriptions, and during testing we couldn’t figure out what makes them different.
The red strap serves as an emergency brake. It’s attached with a magnet in the front cover; once you pull it off, the display will show an E07 message and the belt stops immediately. The manufacturer has also thought of less handy users.
Smooth operation, fairly quiet performance
With treadmills, the main weak point can be a not-fully-smooth ride caused by a low-quality belt. That’s definitely not the case with the Mobvoi Home Treadmill Pro, as it uses a high-quality belt with a diamond pattern, and you really walk on it well.
Its loudness, according to the manufacturer, is less than 75 dB in the fastest mode, which isn’t at all bad.
Included controller, app only via the watch
In addition to the built-in display on the riser, you can also control it using the included controller. There you can control turning it on/off and add or reduce speed. The controller is powered by a CR2032 battery.
The treadmill can also be used with the Mobvoi Treadmill app, but that’s only available for WearOS watches, including, e.g., TicWatch Pro 5. Unfortunately, this app isn’t available for smartphones; we even looked for it in stores ourselves, but unsuccessfully.
Nice bonus – music playback via Bluetooth
What pleased us was the ability to play music via a smartphone or laptop. Mobvoi Home Treadmill Pro has built-in Bluetooth, and after connecting, you can play your favorite tracks.
We didn’t expect miracles from the small built-in speakers, and the sound from them is very below average and flat. Still, if you forget your external speaker or headphones, it’s nice to have this kind of backup option.
Good handling
When you fold the Mobvoi Home Treadmill Pro, handling it is good, because it has lots of points you can grip properly. It’s not, however, the lightest product by itself, weighing up to 34 kg.
One smaller downside we noticed is the length of the power cable. So it’s worth considering placing it directly by the outlet, since the cable is only 1 meter long.
