HODNOTENIE: Tronsmart Apollo Air+
Our editorial rating is based on product testing.
- Wireless charging for the case
- Hybrid noise cancellation
- EQ in the app
- Cheaper box lid
- Less clear sound, weaker highs
Tronsmart Apollo Air+ already resemble the well-known Apple headphones at first glance. There are, of course, plenty of them on the market, so they have to stand out with something other than just the look – they offer hybrid noise cancellation, a Qualcomm chip, aptX support, total battery life with a charging case of up to 20 hours, in-ear detection, and touch controls.
Good-quality ear tips with a well-balanced sound and proper noise reduction, not some made-up numbers in the manufacturer specs. They start at a price of 60 € , around which the Apollo Air+ also hover. Ironically, their big competition is Tronsmart Apollo Bold, but those are much larger and don’t have the iconic AirPods Pro look. Compared to these reviewed earbuds, the sound quality is very similar, but we like the more compact size more.

Premium purple packaging from Tronsmart
Tronsmart isn’t just some cheap brand from the East. Their products come in iconic purple packaging that grabs your attention at first glance, and you can tell it’s quality. We’ve tried a few of their products already, and so far we haven’t been disappointed. The box with its print describes all the earbud features, and inside, besides the earbuds themselves and the charging case, you’ll find 4 pairs of spare silicone tips, a charging USB-C cable, a paper manual, and a warranty card.
Noise cancellation, but with smaller dimensions
Better wireless earbuds with hybrid noise cancellation usually come with larger sizes, especially because of everything they have to fit inside. However, Tronsmart Apollo Air+ managed to stay compact and won’t feel intrusive when they’re in your ears. The dimensions of the earbuds themselves are 5.9 cm x 3.2 cm x 3.7 cm and each one weighs only 43 grams.
The ear tips have a simple design and a prominent Tronsmart logo on the outer side wall. It’s also the touch surface used to control the earbuds.
They’re available in white and black. The charging case includes a USB-C input, and next to it there’s a button used to start pairing. The case is a bit bigger, but more importantly it has wireless charging, which lets you use your wireless setup if you have one at home.
We also can’t skip the IP54 water and dust protection certification, which guarantees the earbuds will work even when you’re sweaty or with a few water drops around.
Sound quality, especially bass
When we first put the earbuds in our ears, we were thrilled with them, both in terms of fit and comfort. After turning on the first track, it was a bit less impressive. What saved it was the mobile app and the EQ, which we’ll get to later. We still don’t understand why the manufacturer chose as the default mode the worst-balanced one in terms of treble and overall sound range. The bass was pretty acceptable, but compared to over-ear Soundcore Life Q30 headphones, the music sounded much flatter.
Of course, it also depends on the music being played—we chose modern bass-heavy music (Drum and bass) for the test, and this original mode really didn’t fit. Once you select the right mode (in our case “Original), it was much better. Still, we’d say the high-end component is missing a bit more punch, but the sound quality is very good nonetheless.
After starting pop music, where the main part of the song is vocals, the result from these headphones was truly decent. Here, a less demanding user probably won’t notice any shortcomings or differences compared to higher-quality headphones.
The resulting sound quality is therefore very decent, mainly thanks to the equalizer. Of course, it depends on the type of music you’re listening to and the listener’s trained ear, but the Tronsmart Apollo Air+ did fairly well in the sound test section. If you’re an audiophile, though, look for something better—but you’ll have to be prepared for at least the price tag of 150 € and up.
Detekcia nasadenia v uchu
A handy feature of the headphones is a sensor that detects whether the earbuds are properly in your ear. If not, they automatically stop playing. The same kind of feature is also found in, for example, the Tronsmart Apollo Bold, and we really like it.
The equalizer in the app saved it.
As we mentioned in the sound test section, the equalizer is a very important part of these headphones, so definitely download the Tronsmart app to your smartphone. It can find the headphones (they can’t be connected to your phone at the moment). Besides the equalizer, there’s also noise reduction control, viewing the battery status of each earbud, and changing the touch controls, which you can customize completely to your liking.
The equalizer includes a total of 8 modes, and in our opinion only two are really usable. For listening to bass music, we chose Original. The original (Default) sounded very flat, and the manufacturer made a big mistake by leaving it as-is for new headphones. A user who just has them connected to a computer might wrongly judge the headphone sound as low quality. The 3D mode also sounded quite decent. The Deep Bass mode, on the other hand, had bass that was way too overdone.
These were the main practical functions of the app. You can also update the headphone firmware through it, disconnect them directly, or read the digital manual—something some customers will definitely appreciate. So it’s a practical helper for the headphones, and here you can have all not only the headphones but also the speakers in one place.
Wireless control
Wireless control may bother some people, especially due to accidental touches, but most wireless models already have that and you can get used to it. With the Tronsmart Apollo Air+, you can control music playback, volume, noise reduction modes, and of course calls as well. You’ll find everything you need in the included manual.
The protruding part of the earbud where the rubber band attaches has a more elongated shape, so the earbud can be secured well when adjusting and putting it on, so you won’t unnecessarily and accidentally press the touch surface—we consider that a plus.
Battery life and wireless charging
The manufacturer states 5 hours of battery life per charge and 20 hours total battery life including the charging case. So they should be able to be charged up to 4 times; charging the case itself takes about 2,5 hours. As is common, the earbuds are charged in the case wirelessly via magnetic pins.
A standout feature of the Tronsmart Apollo Air+ is definitely wireless charging of the case. If you don’t want to use a USB-C cable, you can simply place it on a wireless charger pad.
Conclusion
So we rate the Tronsmart Apollo Air+ as a very good piece for the price of 50 €. Users who demand more will appreciate the presence of the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codec, an equalizer in the app, wireless charging of the case, and a more advanced hybrid noise reduction. A slight downside is that the highs aren’t fully balanced, but we haven’t yet seen that perfectly fixed in any wireless earbuds in the same price range, and it’s really an issue for much more expensive products.
If you’re looking for compact earbuds that will serve you well for commuting on public transport or while working at your computer, you can order the Tronsmart Apollo Air+ with peace of mind.
