Vivo iQOO 9 Pro: Premium smartphone with a QHD+ AMOLED display and a 50 MPx camera
The most powerful of the two new models is Vivo iQOO 9 Pro. The phone measures 164.81 x 75.2 x 8.83 mm. In terms of specs, it features a large, up to 6.78″ LTPO AMOLED display, with a fast refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a brightness of 1500 nits. The display also includes an integrated in-display fingerprint reader and offers high QHD+ resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels.
In terms of performance, there’s a flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, manufactured using a 4 nm process. This chip is paired with an Adreno 730 graphics unit, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
As for the camera, the main one is 50 MP (f/1.75, Samsung GN5) with optical image stabilization. There’s also an ultra-wide sensor with 50 MP resolution (f/2.2) and a 16 MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom. The front camera offers 16 MP and is housed in a cutout in the display. A pair of stereo speakers then takes care of the audio experience.
The smartphone supports DualSIM connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, dual Wi‑Fi 6, 5G connectivity, and the Android 12 operating system with Origin OS. The battery has a capacity of 4700 mAh and supports 120 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. The box also includes a fast 120 W charger along with a USB-C charging cable.
Vivo iQOO 9: The lightweight model has a Full HD+ AMOLED display
The Vivo iQOO 9 smartphone comes with a slightly different 6.78″ LTPO AMOLED panel, with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1500 nits brightness. However, the display has a slightly lower resolution: Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels). The fingerprint reader is integrated into the display. This model also has slightly different dimensions at 164.55 x 76.7 x 8.37 mm and a weight of 206 grams.
What remains the same even on the cheaper device is the processor. You get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Adreno 730 GPU, 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone offers dual stereo speakers, Android 12, and the latest Origin OS graphics overlay.
The change also applies to the cameras. The main 50 MP Samsung GN5 camera (f/1.75) is joined by a 16 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12 MP Portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom. The front camera also keeps the same 16 MP resolution this time. Connectivity is the same, or the 4700 mAh battery. Even the cheaper model includes a 120 W charger in the box, but wireless charging is not supported.
