The vivo X Fold6 puzzle-style foldable is officially on sale in Europe from October 1 as well, though so far only in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where it costs 2 199 €, and in Hungary via Telekom and Alza. In Slovakia it isn’t officially available. However, at our partner GShopper the same global version is available with 12 + 512 GB memory, and with our coupon you can buy it for 1 705 €—so it’s almost €500 cheaper.

Global version cheaper than in Germany and Austria

You can find the foldable vivo X Fold6 at our Chinese partner GShopper, who ships it with standard delivery — and in Slovakia you’ll receive it in about 15 business days. VAT is already included in the price, so when you receive it you won’t need to pay anything extra. Available in black with 12 + 512 GB memory.

This is a global version (V2559) for Hong Kong, which works in our country without restrictions. Instead of the Chinese system, it runs the global OriginOS 7 Fold with Android 17 and Google services. It supports eSIM and handles all bands from our operators, including 4G B20 and 5G n78. It also includes Slovak and Czech languages.

The official vivo store in Austria and Germany sells the X Fold6 only in one version—12 + 512 GB—in the blue Horizon Blue color for €2,199. According to a test by Notebookcheck, the global version compared to the Chinese one also brings Wi‑Fi 7 in the 6 GHz band and two eSIMs, but offers fewer memory variants. The competing Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 12 + 512 GB is officially priced in Slovakia at €2,259. You can find details about the European price in a separate article.

Display with a 8 inch diagonal and a slim body

When unfolded, the vivo X Fold6 8.02-inch AMOLED display offers a resolution of 2504 × 2312 px and a refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, so you can comfortably open two apps side by side or watch a movie on it. You don’t need to unfold it to reply to a message or check notifications, because it also has a 6.51-inch external display with the same refresh rate.

The unfolded phone is only 4.4 mm thick, and folded it’s 9.4 mm. Despite that, it has IP66, IP68, and IP69 durability, which is still not common for foldables, and it won’t be harmed by dust, water immersion, or pressurized water jets.

ZEISS cameras with 200 Mpx and a periscope

On the back there are three cameras that vivo tuned in cooperation with the ZEISS brand. The main sensor is 200 Mpx with an aperture of f/1.68. It’s complemented by a 50 Mpx ultra-wide camera and a 50 Mpx periscope telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone has two 20 Mpx cameras—one on each display.

You can also additionally purchase a attachable telephoto lens that clips onto the camera module in a similar way to a lens on a traditional camera. It isn’t included in the box, but if you often shoot with strong zoom—such as at concerts or while traveling—you won’t have to carry a separate camera.

Dimensity 9500 and battery 6 900 mAh

The phone features a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chip made on a 3-nanometer process. You also get 12 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra memory and 512 GB of fast UFS 4.1 storage. It can run demanding games smoothly, even with several windows open at the same time on the inner display.

The battery consists of two cells connected in parallel with a total capacity of 6 900 mAh, which is unusually high for a foldable phone. Charge it with a cable at up to 80 W or wirelessly at 40 W, and it also includes NFC, Wi‑Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0.
