Ladislav: “I’ve had Welock locks for about 8 years, they work amazingly—even in outdoor rain/frost conditions, even though they’re not meant for that… and they even get sold in Europe rebranded under another brand for an outrageous price… they’re more expensive, but I can really confirm.”
Ladislav adds: “China Planet, way too reliably. They have a slogan „Bank grade fingerprint“, meaning very accurate… pros… high accuracy, cons: for a kid up to 13–14 years old you just can’t add access, because their fingerprints aren’t developed enough for the system to add them (it rejects them as not sufficiently distinct). (Solution is an RF tag or an app for the child.) Second—if you have wet fingers, it won’t recognize you (classic—when it’s raining, you put away a wet umbrella, and with sweat you wipe your hands on the gate until your hands are perfectly dry). I once had an issue when I’d been driving for a while with a steering wheel with a leather cover… apparently I’d rubbed the fingerprints a little off on the leather and that was enough for it to reject me… But as I said, I opened it with the app and in 10 minutes it was OK again…”
