9000 BTU power for rooms up to 15 m²
The most important parameter is the cooling power 9000 BTU / 2.6 kW. The manufacturer recommends the air conditioner for rooms with an area of up to 15 m², so it’s ideal especially for a bedroom, study, office, smaller apartment, or a student room. In cooling mode, you can set the desired temperature from 16 to 30 °C.
This is a classic compressor air conditioner that expels warm air out of the room using an exhaust hose. That’s why the package also includes an exhaust hose, a connector, and a window mounting kit. The manufacturer states compatibility with most European window types, so for basic installation you shouldn’t need to buy any additional accessories.
Cooling, fan, and dehumidification in one
Xmund mobile air conditioner is not designed only to cool the air. It offers three main functions — cooling, ventilation, and dehumidification. The fan has two adjustable speeds, so on milder days you don’t always have to run the compressor and can use the device only for air circulation.
Dehumidification is also practical and can help during sultry days with high humidity. The air conditioner uses a self-evaporation condensate system, which reduces the need for frequent manual draining. However, there are two drain options — the bottom one for manual emptying and the top one for connecting a hose and continuous water drainage.
Night mode and timer up to 24 hours
If you want to use the air conditioner even while sleeping, there’s a separate Sleep mode. Once activated, the device automatically lowers the fan speed so the room doesn’t get unnecessarily over-cooled during the night. In this mode, the manufacturer states a noise level of approximately 53 dB.
It also includes an adjustable timer from 1 to 24 hours. This way, you can set the air conditioner to automatically turn off a few hours after you fall asleep, or schedule its operation according to your daily routine. Control is via the panel directly on the unit or the included remote control.
A mobile design you can move easily
A big advantage over a fixed air conditioner is mobility. Xmund weighs 18,5 kg and measures 34 × 30 × 69,4 cm. Four swivel wheels are located on the bottom, so you don’t have to carry it by hand—you can move it as needed, for example from the bedroom to the living room or a home office.
Maintenance should be fairly straightforward. The manufacturer recommends taking out the filter roughly every two weeks, cleaning it, and putting it back once it’s completely dry. Regularly cleaning the filter helps maintain proper airflow and the air conditioner’s performance. In the box, you’ll also get all the basic accessories, including a remote control, an exhaust hose, a window sealing kit, and a drain hose.
What do you get in the box?
The packaging is set up so the air conditioner can be installed and used right after delivery. Besides the unit itself, it includes a remote control, a hose to exhaust hot air, an exhaust hose connector, a window sealing panel, and a hose for draining condensate. However, according to the manufacturer, the batteries for the remote control are not included.
If you’re looking for a compact air conditioner for a smaller room and don’t want to deal with professional installation of a wall unit, the Xmund could be an interesting compromise. The 9000 BTU power is designed specifically for smaller spaces, and the big plus is the combination of three functions, remote control, a timer, and complete accessories for exhausting warm air through a window.
