Cheap electric motorbikes from China that are sold from European warehouses usually come with a motor rated at around 1,500 to 3,000 W, so they run out of breath pretty quickly off-road. ZAWES GT1 though, at a price under 1,200 €, has a 5,400 W motor with a maximum torque of up to 280 Nm and it can reach up to 80 km/h. The well-known Sur-Ron Light Bee X costs around 5,000 € according to the German site Giga.de, but it’s a bigger and more advanced machine.

Electric motorbike with 5 400 W power and 90 km range
The ZAWES GT1 is among the smaller off-road motorbikes in the pit bike category—because it’s 153 cm tall, weighs 57.5 kg, and has a 14″ front and 12″ rear wheel. Despite its small size, it can carry a rider of up to 160 kg, so an adult can ride it comfortably too. Since it’s lightweight, it’s also easy to maneuver through narrow forest trails.
The bike is black-and-blue with a large ZAWES logo on the side, and the frame is made of solid steel. Since it doesn’t have a clutch, even a beginner who has never ridden a motorbike before can handle it easily—and without an exhaust, it won’t disturb anyone in the forest or on someone’s property with noise.
Motor with up to 280 Nm torque and a 60 V 28 Ah battery
The bike is powered by a 5,400 W motor that delivers up to 280 Nm of torque and can climb slopes of up to 35°. The rear wheel is driven by a chain, and you can set the power in three speed modes—so during your first rides you can gently slow down and get used to its power gradually.
The 60 V 28 Ah battery is hidden under a protective cover, and the manufacturer promises a range of up to 90 km—of course, under ideal conditions. If you ride hard in the field at full power, expect a much shorter range. The charger has an output of 67.2 V and 3 A, and a full charge takes about 9 hours, so you can charge the bike overnight.
Full suspension and hydraulic disc brakes
On rough terrain, full suspension helps by cushioning impacts on both the front and rear wheels. According to the manufacturer, the thick-tread tires are puncture-resistant and grip well in mud, sand, and gravel.
It has hydraulic disc brakes on both the front and the rear, and at 80 km/h you really need them. Cheaper electric motorbikes often come only with mechanical, cable-actuated brakes, where you have to squeeze the lever harder and adjust them more often.
LCD display, LED lighting, and a magnetic safety kill switch
On the handlebars there’s an LCD display showing your speed, battery status, and the selected mode, and both the front and rear lights use LED diodes. The motorbike also has a magnetic safety kill switch to prevent accidental starts—for example if a child gets to it.
Just remember, however, that the ZAWES GT1 is an off-road bike with no homologation, so you’re not allowed to ride it on public roads in Slovakia. You can ride it on private property, motocross tracks, and other closed-off areas.
