BlitzWolf has its own home product ecosystem, which it expands with this handy smart thermometer BlitzWolf BW-IS4. You can connect it to a ZigBee network, where it then works together with other smart devices. App connectivity is also included.
After connecting it with other devices, you can use this sensor to control, for example, an air conditioner or an air humidifier based on the measured values. It also includes a sufficiently bright LCD display showing both temperature and humidity.

Design and dimensions
For this product, Blitzwolf also went for a minimalist design. The thermometer comes in white and features a LCD display. It clearly shows data like temperature, humidity, battery status, and signal strength.
The thermometer itself measures just 61 x 23 mm, so it doesn’t take up much space. You can mount it on the wall or place it on a practical stand on a solid surface like a desk or cabinet. The thermometer can operate in temperatures from -10 ℃ – 55 ℃.
Connection and battery
The BlitzWolf BW-IS4 is among smart devices. That means you can connect it to the app, where you can monitor the temperature and humidity in real time. For this, however, the thermometer must be connected to a gateway. Without that, unfortunately, you can’t set up a connection to your smartphone. The advantage is compatibility with ZigBee technology.
The battery in the thermometer has a really long lifespan. When measuring temperature / humidity 20 times per day, the battery life is rated at over 1 year. You can check its status directly on the thermometer or in the app. The app will notify you when it’s time to replace the battery.
The temperature measurement error can be up to 0.5 ℃ and the humidity measurement error up to 5 %. So if you were looking for a practical smart thermometer with an extra feature for your smart home, the BlitzWolf BW-IS4 thermometer is definitely the right choice.
