After a few days of gradually unveiling the specs of the realme GT NEO 2T model, we’ve finally gotten its official launch. It’s a smartphone with a new design and great specs that will interest more than one tech enthusiast. So let’s talk about the main advantages of this new release.
A display from Samsung that can win you over
Right at the start, let’s mention the display features. The realme GT NEO 2T smartphone comes with a 6.43-inch display from the South Korean giant Samsung. So we’re talking about an AMOLED panel with a resolution of Full HD+, i.e. 1080 x 2400 pixels.
You’ll also like the high refresh rate, which tops out at 120 Hz. Great news: the screen supports a 360 Hz touch sampling rate, guaranteeing lightning-fast display response to touch interactions from the user.
Excellent contrast 800 000 : 1 speaks to the great qualities of this panel. We’ll also note that the front “selfie” camera sits in the so-called “hole-punch” cutout.
The screen-to-front ratio is a whopping 91.7 percent. The maximum brightness is 1 000 nits, and the entire color gamut DCI-P3 is covered.
Plenty of power even for mobile gaming players
The performance of the new realme GT NEO 2T is handled by a chipset from MediaTek, the Dimensity 1200-AI. The processor is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage for user data. So, if you’re talking about the best-equipped version of the smartphone.
It uses UFS 3.1 storage, which ensures truly high transfer and read speeds. In the settings, you can also enable the virtual RAM feature, which boosts the RAM by up to another 7 GB.
However, to be honest, we doubt anyone will ever need to turn this function on. The built-in RAM is likely more than enough for everyone. With realme GT NEO 2T, you’ll capture plenty of great photos
On the back, there’s a very solid camera setup. The primary sensor offers high resolution of 64 MP. You’ll also appreciate the secondary 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, which you’ll use when taking landscape photos and for other similar situations. And third, there’s also a 2 MP macro lens. Up front, you’ll find a 16 MP “selfie” camera.
As for connectivity, the new phone definitely won’t disappoint here either. The mobile supports 5G connection via both SIM cards, dual-band WiFi 6, low-energy Bluetooth 5.1, location services like GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO, or QZSS, and NFC for contactless payments.
From the port equipment, we should mention the USB-C port and it’s still nice to have a 3.5 mm audio jack too, for connecting wired headphones.
Inside the device there’s an advanced cooling system using a liquid cooling solution. The realme GT NEO 2T dimensions are 158.5 x 73.3 x 8.4 millimeters, while the weight comes in at a reasonable 186 grams.
The operating system is Android 11. It’s covered with the realme UI 2.0 graphical interface. The battery has a capacity of 4 500 mAh and supports fast charging with a powerful 65 W adapter.
We know the Chinese prices for the realme GT NEO 2T. Availability on the global market is currently unknown
Chinese prices for the phone realme GT NEO 2T are really nice. For the version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage, you need to pay ¥2 099, which comes to 282 €.
The version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs ¥2 299, i.e. 309 €. The best-equipped variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal memory is priced at ¥2 599, which equals 349 €.
Right now, pre-orders for all three variants come with a discount of ¥200 (around €27). The official sale in China starts at the beginning of 1 November. Unfortunately, we can’t tell you at the moment whether the new release will also reach the global market. All we can do is hope for it, because it looks very promising.
