Source: gsmarena.com - The global model V2660 in the IMEI database
- Brazilian version Jovi X500 Ultra (J2613)
- The Chinese launch is said to be in March or April 2027
- We still don’t know the countries or the date for the global sale
Back in August, it was said that vivo X500 Ultra would stay in China only for expensive memory configurations, but new IMEI database entries contradict that. The smartphone vivo plans to complete the X500 series with in spring has appeared in the database under a global label, and right next to it is the Brazilian version under the Jovi brand that vivo uses in that market. It looks like vivo is preparing it for markets outside China as well, although it hasn’t confirmed it officially yet.
Vivo X500 Ultra has a global designation of V2660
The records were noticed first by the Android Treasure website and later picked up by the Gizmochina portal. The global version under the vivo brand is listed in the database as V2660 with the commercial name X500 Ultra, and vivo Mobile Communication is listed as the manufacturer. The second entry belongs to the Jovi X500 Ultra model with the label J2613, where Jovi is the brand under which vivo sells its phones in Brazil.
You can’t tell from the IMEI database which countries the phone will be sold in, or when it will reach stores. However, manufacturers register devices they’re preparing for sale outside the home market, so after two such entries it’s hard to believe the phone would remain China-only. The same path was taken by the vivo X300 Ultra, the first Ultra model vivo also sold outside China.
Pro and Pro Max are heading to Europe right now
Ultra is expected to sit above the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max models that vivo unveiled in China in September, and it will arrive in Europe on October 27. For now, the best-equipped is the Pro Max with an 8,000 mAh battery that you can charge with a 90 W cable or wirelessly with 40 W.

We don’t yet know what the X500 Ultra will look like, so the photo shows the already unveiled models from the series above. In August, though, one of the Chinese tipsters claimed that vivo would keep Ultra at home because rising memory prices make flagship phones more expensive, and Ultra would be hard to sell worldwide. New records suggest the opposite, but we’ll only be sure once vivo announces the specific countries.
What we know so far about the specs
Other details come from leaks, and they could change before the launch. Unlike the Pro Max driven by a MediaTek chip, the X500 Ultra is said to get a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The BOE display is expected to be a flat LTPO panel with a 6.85-inch diagonal, 2K+ resolution, and a 144 Hz refresh rate, and underneath it there’s supposedly an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader. The battery should have a capacity between 7,000 and 8,000 mAh.

Most speculation is about the camera. The latest test sample is said to include a periscope telephoto lens with a 200 MP resolution and a 1/1.2-inch sensor, which is more than the 1/1.4-inch sensor in the X300 Ultra. For the main camera with a 35 mm focal length, vivo hasn’t decided yet and is choosing between two LOFIC sensors. The first offers 50 MP resolution, a 1/1.28-inch size, and gimbal-type stabilization; the second provides 200 MP at 1/1.12-inch. In China, the X500 Ultra should have its premiere in March or April 2027, in the same period as the predecessor.
The X300 Ultra is officially sold in Europe starting in April in a single configuration: 16 GB + 1 TB for about €2,000. However, in Slovakia you can also buy the global version from overseas sellers, which comes out cheaper. If vivo repeats the same approach, the X500 Ultra could appear in stores sometime in the second quarter of 2027, but vivo hasn’t revealed the price or countries yet.
