Do you need fast charging on the go too? Then you’ll be glad to hear about the upcoming 100 W power bank from Elecjet with a capacity of 10 000 mAh. It’s currently part of the Indiegogo campaign, a well-known crowdfunding platform.
Elecjet: 10 000 mAh and bidirectional power of 100 W
Despite the ever-growing capacity of portable external batteries—power banks—progress in charging speed is still lagging behind somewhat. While today we can already charge selected smartphones with ultra-fast 120 W charging, high-capacity power banks, especially the older ones, can take even several hours.
But the start-up called Elecjet is trying to address exactly this issue, and just recently they decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign for a power bank with a (bidirectional) output of up to 100 W. The campaign was also quite successful, and thanks to it they managed to raise as much as 157 905 dollars – a sum that represents up to 1580% of the campaign’s original goal.
Charge to 100% in just 27 minutes and an LCD display
If we look at the product itself – the Elecjet Apollo Ultra Power Bank, its main benefit is a full charge to 100% of its capacity in just 27 minutes. With a capacity of 10,000 mAh, this is a very impressive value, which the manufacturer ensures thanks to the use of graphene cells. These cells support charging with up to 100 W output.
Another important feature is the weight of this battery. It comes in at just 230 grams, which also makes it comparable with larger smartphones. The manufacturer also claims safety (against overcharging, overheating, etc.) and a long service life. During use, it never exceeds 43°C and lasts for more than 2500 charging cycles (roughly 7 years of everyday use).
The power bank even includes a practical small LCD display that shows you the current battery percentage. The Elecjet Apollo Ultra Power Bank can handle charging multiple devices at the same time. If you don’t use that, you may appreciate the option to charge a device from the power bank and the ability to charge the power bank from the mains at the same time. You’ll especially appreciate this if there are fewer power outlets around.
Price and availability of the new product
The new product from Elecjet is still part of the Indiegogo.com crowdfunding platform. The campaign ends in 10 more days, and if you jump in, you can get the Elecjet Apollo Ultra Power Bank for just 69 USD. The final retail price should be around 100 USD. The manufacturer will also return 10 dollars to users after they fill out a survey once the campaign ends.
In addition, there’s also a great product bundle for 139 USD. It includes the power bank with fast charging, as well as a USB-C to USB-C power cable and a gallium nitride wall charger from Elecjet with power up to 120 W.
