500 W motor, 20 km/h, and a certificate for German roads
The scooter is powered by a 500 W motor with a torque of 28 N·m; the maximum speed is limited to 20 km/h (with +10% tolerance) in line with German regulations for road traffic. There are four levels of assistance available — Walk (6 km/h), Eco (10 km/h), Drive (15 km/h) and Sport (20 km/h) — plus a smooth kick-to-start launch from 3 km/h. The ABE certificate from the German authority KBA means the scooter is officially approved for riding on public roads according to the current and upcoming StVZO legislation for 2027 — so it’s not a grey import without paperwork.
Range up to 85 km on a 48 V / 18,2 Ah battery
The 48 V 18.2 Ah (Li-ion) battery capacity is enough for up to 85 km on a single charge, making it suitable even for longer commutes or multi-day trips without needing to charge every day. Charging with 2 A takes about 9 to 10 hours. Payload capacity is 120 kg and the scooter can handle climbs up to 20°.
Suspension front and rear, disc brakes, and IPX5 resistance
The Y700 ABE has spring suspension in the front and rear, which absorbs bumps from potholes and an uneven surface on both wheels — so it’s not just front suspension like cheaper models. Braking is handled by mechanical disc brakes at the front and rear; the wheels are 10×3.0″ with a city rubber tread. The build also has IPX5 protection, so you can ride in the rain or through puddles without worries.
Color display, NFC unlocking and app control
On the handlebars you’ll find a 3.5″ color LCD display showing speed, battery status and the selected assistance level. The scooter connects to the app via Bluetooth and, instead of a classic key, you unlock it with either a PIN code on the keypad or contactlessly with a card or phone via NFC — handy when you don’t want to carry any physical key.
Safety in reduced visibility is covered by a front headlight with 40 lux, a rear brake light and side reflectors that meet UNECE and K-Mark standards. The whole scooter is foldable, and with a weight of 31.7 kg (including the battery) you can load it into your car trunk without any problem or carry it up stairs.
