A photo that is said to capture the expected OnePlus 15 has appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo. It’s a flagship Android smartphone that should be launched in October, and it already draws a lot of attention. In the posted image, we can see a triple rear camera placed in a square module—an obvious design shift compared to the more compact OnePlus 13s with a “slim” setup.
Design and the end of the Hasselblad collaboration
In a photo shared as part of the professional esports league PEL, a white color version of the phone appears. According to leaks, OnePlus 15 will also get new color variants inspired by natural tones. An interesting detail is the missing Hasselblad logo—the partnership between the brands has ended, and OnePlus is coming with its own solution called DetailMax Engine. It’s meant to push photo processing to a higher level.
The design clearly follows the current OnePlus 13s model, but the new phone brings a difference in the form of an additional camera. The triple lens setup should deliver greater versatility and compete with other flagship devices announced in China during October.
Performance for gamers and a BOE display
OnePlus 15 has also appeared in the Geekbench database, where its chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is mentioned. This processor is expected to take performance to a new level, and it also confirms the phone’s connection with the esports community, as it appeared in official PEL league visuals. This suggests it will be a device specifically optimized for gaming.
Another expected spec is the new BOE X3 display with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. This means users can look forward to an extremely smooth image for gaming as well as everyday use. According to preliminary information, OnePlus 15 should also bring a larger battery with faster charging than what we’re used to from the OnePlus 13 model.
Global launch after China
The official launch of OnePlus 15 is planned first for the China market, with the worldwide presentation to follow shortly after. Expectations are high—the new model should be a combination of a modern design, improved camera capabilities, and top-tier performance. OnePlus fans therefore have yet another strong reason to upgrade.
