A large 17,3-inch touch display
The external monitor BlitzWolf BW-PCM6 comes in a plastic design with dimensions of 393 x 248 x 9.5 mm. The total weight of the device is 1.18 kilograms. There’s an integrated stand at the back that lets you position the monitor at multiple angles you choose yourself.
An IPS display is 17.3 inches with a resolution of Full HD (1 920 x 1 080 pixels), a classic 16:9 aspect ratio, and a contrast of 1000:1. You’ll appreciate the touch controls and support for HDR. The display supports a wide range of touch gestures. A bit annoying is the slightly larger chin area where the manufacturer placed the brand logo.
The monitor can automatically change its refresh rate based on the situation, from 24 to 60 Hz. What a shame the manufacturer didn’t use at least a 90Hz refresh rate. The maximum brightness tops out at 300 nits and covers 72% of the color gamut.
Rich ports and connectivity
The right side includes a USB A connector and control buttons. You’ll find buttons for volume control and a toggle button here, too.
The left side is richer in ports—you’ll find an HDMI connector, a USB C connector for charging, a another USB C connector for connecting peripherals, and a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones.
On this external monitor, you can comfortably connect your gaming console or smartphone on the go and mirror its image. Or you can use it as a second preview display, for example when editing photos or cutting video. The possibilities here are endless.
At the back, there’s also a pair of stereo speakers, and the monitor can be controlled using the included remote control. It’s powered by a CR2032 battery, which isn’t included in the package—though that’s not a problem since it’s a common type of coin-cell battery.
