Original article from 30 March 2021:
Mandatory respirators from 8 March
A government document that appeared online revealed new rules even before the prime minister’s introduction itself. From 8 March, FFP2 respirators will be mandatory in shops and public transport, and from 15 March in all indoor spaces. We took the information from Startitup.sk.
Recommended protection against coronavirus
The Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic strongly recommends wearing FFP2 respirators anywhere outdoors and wherever you are in direct contact with other people.
“As long as the respirator is worn properly and fits the face well, it’s effective at 98 percent. If someone goes into a space where they may come into contact with an infected person, the respirator can protect them properly,” the minister said, according to the daily newspaper SME Domov.
So if you want to use public transport or visit the grocery store, be sure to take this advanced protective aid with you.

4 layers of protection
An FFP2 respirator provides a more advanced form of protection against viruses, where you protect not only the people around you from you, but also yourself from others. They capture at least 94% of particles in the air up to a size of 0.6 μm.
It’s exactly protection against solid and liquid health-harmful substances, dust, smoke, and aerosols.
The respirator is specially shaped to sit comfortably on your face, and you can also fold it away, so it’s easy to carry around. It also contains no dyes, so it’s skin-friendly.
