Foldable phones have one big problem for us — the price. HONOR Magic V6 costs around two thousand euros in a Slovak official distribution during promotions and even more outside of them, which is a sum at which most people just think twice. On AliExpress, meanwhile, you can get it in the EU version 16/512 GB for under €1,550. And we’re talking about a phone that’s 4 mm thick when unfolded, has a 6,660 mAh battery, and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
A brutal difference compared to prices in SK

Four millimetres when unfolded
This is the number they sell. The unfolded Magic V6 measures 4 mm and the folded one is 8.8 mm, weighing 224 grams — meaning less than most “ordinary” large smartphones with a metal frame. In practice, this means that the unfolded phone in your hand feels like a thin booklet, and the folded one doesn’t push your pocket out like foldables used to two years ago.
The back is held by a circular camera module, which HONOR placed on one half of the body, so the unfolded phone doesn’t wobble on a table. The black version featured in this offer has a matte finish where fingerprints don’t show nearly as much as on glossy glass.
Dual displays and 6 000 nits on the outside one
The inner panel has a diagonal of 7.95 inches — it’s an LTPO AMOLED with a resolution of 2,172 × 2,352 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The outer display is 6.52 inches, with the same refresh-rate range, and an even higher peak brightness of 6,000 nits — exactly the brighter display you use outdoors in the sun.
For sensitive eyes, what matters is something else: both panels dim at a 4,320 Hz PWM frequency and have a declared reflectance of just 1.5%. Add Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, an always-on display, and stylus support on the inner screen.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a battery that definitely didn’t belong in a foldable
Inside, there’s a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with two Oryon V3 Phoenix L cores at 4.6 GHz, six Phoenix M cores at 3.62 GHz, and Adreno 840 graphics. It’s complemented by 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, so you don’t have to decide what to delete — and for a foldable you’ll use for work in two windows at once, 16 GB is the kind of difference you can feel.
The bigger surprise is the battery. 6,660 mAh in a 4 mm-thick body is enabled by a silicon-carbon technology with a 25% silicon share — that’s significantly more than what competitors offer in this category, and HONOR isn’t hiding it. It charges at 80 W with cable and 66 W wirelessly, plus it supports reverse wireless charging for earbuds or a smartwatch.
The first foldable with IP68 and IP69
Durability has long been the Achilles’ heel of foldable phones. The Magic V6 has IP68 and IP69 certification, so it can handle immersion in 1.5 meters and a jet of hot water under pressure — and that’s with a hinge construction that, according to SGS, should withstand 500,000 folds. The display is protected by HONOR NanoCrystal Shield.
It’s fair to say that no certification makes a foldable phone indestructible—bending in the middle of the display is still soft, and sand under the hinge is still the enemy. But among foldables, this is currently the best you can buy.
Triple camera setup and MagicOS 10 on Android 16
The photo hardware on this foldable is above average: a 50 MP sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, a 64 MP telephoto lens with a 70 mm equivalent and f/2.5, plus a 50 MP ultra-wide lens with a 122° field of view. The selfie camera is 20 MP. The 64 MP telephoto lens is exactly what most foldables lack—you usually get 10 or 12 MP, and the zoom quickly falls apart.
On the software side, it’s MagicOS 10 built on Android 16, with standard add-ons for split-screen and floating windows. HONOR also puts special focus on working with computers, including Mac—so if you use a mixed ecosystem, file transfer and screen mirroring are handled directly in the system.
