Quick summary

  • MagicOS 11 (Android 17) Honor will unveil on September 15, 2026.
  • A new UI inspired by Apple’s “Liquid Glass” design.
  • AI assistant YOYO Next can handle tasks with up to 100 steps.
  • The beta test has opened for 17 Honor phone and tablet models.

Honor has finally revealed when we can expect its new firmware, MagicOS 11. It was originally expected to be unveiled as early as August, but the date has been pushed back. Now it’s official, and internal beta testing for the first wave of devices has also been opened.

Premiere 15, September, Apple-inspired design

According to the GSMArena website, Honor will unveil the MagicOS 11 custom interface built on Android 17 at its developer conference Honor Global Developer Conference (HGDC) on September 15, 2026 in Shenzhen. MagicOS 11 is set to be the main highlight of the entire event.

Honor says the new interface will bring bold elements inspired by the design language of “Liquid Glass”, which Apple introduced this year for iOS. It features transparent layers, reflections, and smoother animations across the entire system. On top of that, improved charging is expected (Honor hasn’t specified yet what exactly will change) and better storage cleanup.

YOYO Next: an assistant that can complete a task in 100 steps on its own

Honor places the biggest emphasis on artificial intelligence. The new generation of the assistant named YOYO Next is supposed to be able to independently perform long tasks up to 100 steps without you having to control the phone manually. It’s also set to include a built-in “skills shop” (skill store), through which you can manage and add capabilities of large AI models, as well as support for your own AI agents tailored to your everyday needs.

A similar direction is also hinted at by competitors, including Apple and Google: an assistant that independently finishes a multi-step task for you instead of you scrolling through menus step by step. Honor is taking inspiration from both sides at once—design from Apple and agentic AI from the entire industry.

Beta testing is back: These 17 devices will be among the first to get access

According to Gizmochinas, Honor has reopened internal MagicOS 11 beta testing that it previously unexpectedly paused. The first wave includes models such as Magic V6, Magic V5, Magic8 RSR Porsche Design, Magic8 Pro, Magic8 Pro Air, Magic8, Magic7 RSR Porsche Design, Magic7 Pro, Magic7, Honor 600 Pro, 600 Super Edition, 600 Vitality Edition, Honor WIN, WIN RT, GT Pro, MagicPad3 Pro and MagicPad3 Pro 12.3. There are limited spots, so if you want to test sooner than everyone else, you should hurry up.

You can sign up via the My Honor app: Club → MagicOS 11 test program → Submit; then you’ll install the update itself via Settings → System & updates.

When will Slovak owners get it too?

The list of beta devices is currently meant for the Chinese market. The international version of MagicOS 11 typically arrives a few months after the Chinese premiere, just like it did with previous versions. If you own a model that’s commonly sold here (for example, Magic7 Pro or the Honor 600 series), the update should find you later this winter or at the start of next year. Honor hasn’t announced the exact date for Slovakia yet.
