A high-quality and durable build
Kugoo Kirin M3 is a water-resistant electric e-scooter with an extremely strong build and an IPX5 certification. The maximum load it’s designed for is 120 kg, but it can also handle less careful use. As you can see in the following video, the manufacturer tested it in truly extreme conditions (starting at 0:39).
For example, the scooter was submerged in a pool, thrown off a balcony, ridden on stairs, and it was also tested under load in both high and low temperatures. We don’t recommend repeating these tests with your own scooter, but based on the tests you can see what it can withstand.
Another interesting feature is the integrated safety lock, with which you can lock the scooter, securing it against theft.
Power, battery, and range
The motor located in the rear wheel has a power of 500 W, letting you reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h. The scooter can handle a 24-level climbing grade, and the range should be around 40 km.
The battery consists of 18650-type cells and has a capacity of 13 Ah. A suspension fork at the front ensures a comfortable ride, along with 10″ tires. There’s also stylish lighting and an electronic brake at the rear. At the front you’ll find a drum brake.
To unlock the scooter, an NFC tag is also available—you can attach it between your keys. There are 3 riding modes with maximum speeds of 18, 25, and 40 km/h. It also includes a folding mechanism, so you can take the scooter along in your car trunk without any hassle.
In the box, besides the scooter, you’ll also find 2 NFC tags, a charger, an Allen key, and spare screws.
