LANKELEISI GT800 is one of the top-tier mountain e-bikes from this brand, and at first glance it’s clear this isn’t an ordinary cheap city e-bike. Thanks to our cooperation for the Slovak market, its price has dropped well below 3000 €, while for the rest of Europe this model sells for around 3600 €. The biggest highlights are the Bafang M600 mid-drive motor, a quality Samsung battery, a full-suspension frame, and gear designed for more demanding mountain riding.

The Lankeleisi GT800 has also made its way into the hands of foreign creators. French YouTuber KRAMTOO, who has experience with plenty of electric bikes and powerful fat bikes, took it straight into the wild. After just the first few kilometers, he was especially surprised by the strong pull of the Bafang mid-drive motor with a stated torque of 120 Nm. In the test, he also tried very steep climbs on loose terrain, where GT800, according to him, handled ascents where he expected problems. He also positively rated the natural onset of assistance via the torque sensor, the comfort of the suspension, and the fact that the bike didn’t produce any annoying rattling or vibrations even when riding off-road.
After testing the KRAMTOO, he called the GT800 one of the best-built Lankeleisi models he’s had a chance to ride. He praised the solid frame, 29-inch Continental tires, the suspension, and the very quiet ride of the whole bike. However, he also found one weaker point—when shifting under load, the powerful motor can significantly strain the chain and sprockets, so he recommends loosening the pressure on the pedals for a moment before shifting. At first, he also mentioned the weaker effect of the new brakes, which gradually improved during the ride after they were broken in. Overall, the GT800 surprised him on rough terrain especially with its ability to climb steep hills with minimal effort from the rider.
Bafang M600 mid-drive motor with a torque of up to 120 Nm
The biggest difference compared to cheaper e-bikes is the motor. The LANKELEISI GT800 uses a Bafang M600 brushless mid-drive motor with a power of 250 W, or 500 W depending on the mode. The advantage of a mid-drive motor is better weight distribution and a more natural feel when pedaling. When climbing hills or riding more technical terrain, you feel it much more than with a classic hub motor.
The motor offers torque of up to 120 Nm, which is a very strong figure for a mountain e-bike. The triple sensor system combines one torque sensor and two speed sensors. In practice, that means the bike doesn’t just respond mechanically to pedal rotation, but can deliver assistance more precisely depending on how hard you’re pedaling.
Samsung battery with a capacity of 48 V 20 Ah
A removable 48 V 20 Ah Samsung battery made of 21700 cells takes care of the power. It’s one of the most important parts of the entire bike, because it’s the quality of the cells that determines the real range and long-term service life. The battery is integrated directly into the frame, looks clean and is also better protected against damage.
The manufacturer lists an estimated range of about 120 to 150 km in pedal-assist mode. In the most economical PAS1 mode, you can reach up to 150 km; in normal mode it’s around 120 km, and with more sporty riding the value stays lower. Of course, everything is influenced by the rider’s weight, terrain, wind, tire pressure, and temperature.
Full-suspension frame and a 120 mm front fork
The LANKELEISI GT800 is built on an 6061 aluminum alloy frame with a four-link rear suspension. This construction brings it closer to real mountain bikes, not just city e-bikes with thicker tires. The rear air shock helps on rides over roots, rocks, or broken forest roads.
At the front you get an adjustable air fork with 120 mm of travel. This helps keep the bike under control even during faster off-road riding. The entire suspension reduces rider fatigue and makes the GT800 model something that makes sense not only on asphalt or country roads, but also for proper mountain trips.
Shimano 12 speeds and Tektro hydraulic brakes
The manufacturer used a 12-speed Shimano M6100 shifting system with a 11-50T cassette. This is a very pleasant upgrade compared to cheaper Chinese e-bikes, where you often only find basic 7-speed gearing. On mountain rides, a wider range of gears can make a huge difference—especially when you want to pedal with your own legs and not rely only on the motor.
Braking is handled by a Tektro hydraulic system with 180 mm rotors. For a bike weighing 28 kg with a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, quality braking is extremely important. The GT800 is supposed to be a powerful mountain e-bike, so it’s great that the brand didn’t go for fully basic mechanical brakes.
Color LCD display and practical extras
On the handlebars, there’s a backlit color LCD display that shows all the key riding data. You can see your current speed, distance traveled, battery level, the selected assist mode, power output, and the total mileage counter. The display is especially useful on longer trips when you want to keep track of your remaining energy.
The kit also includes clear 48 V LED front and rear lights, a 48 V 3 A charger, IP54 resistance, and a load capacity of up to 150 kg. One interesting thing is that the GT800 doesn’t have a classic throttle. It works via pedal assist, which is more natural and also more suitable for riders who want to actually ride a bicycle.
