The process is via the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. There are two key things: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary, in the field Promo code. After you click Pay now, you won’t be able to add it.

1. Copy the code and click Use discountIn our article, copy the coupon and click the button GET DISCOUNT. The link will take you directly to the product in the AliExpress app.
2. Use Add to cart instead of Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and tap Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—you’ll skip the cart, and later you won’t have anywhere to enter the coupon. Before that, double-check the variant: the color, the version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.
3. Through the cart, go to CheckoutA pop-up will appear: Added to cart! — tap Check it out in it. If it disappeared, open the cart with the icon at the bottom right. In the cart, check the product and quantity, then click the red Checkout. Only the items marked with the red ring will be applied.
4. Enter your address and card, then look for Promo codeIn the order summary, first fill in the delivery address and payment card at the top. Below them there’s a line Promo code — expand it with the arrow on the right.

   

5. Paste the code and confirm ApplyIn the field Promo code paste the copied code and click the black Apply. The code is case-sensitive and must not contain spaces.

   

6. Check the savings and payIn the Summary expand the line Saved — you’ll see the applied coupon there as AliExpress coupons/codes. Only when Total is really lower, click Pay now.

   

Apply the discount already at the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can no longer add a coupon. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your items, or the order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.

The Store Coupon also goes in the same field. — a coupon from the seller itself, which isn’t always available and changes from day to day. AliExpress coupons can’t be combined, so try both and go with the one that gives you more. Coins are added automatically.

We tested the light—simple installation

Since this light is quite popular among our readers, we decided to order it and try it out. The light arrived in a box with nothing damaged. Inside the package, besides the light itself, you also get a white remote and wall anchors with self-tapping screws for mounting it to the ceiling.

We installed it on lowered ceilings and everything went smoothly. We didn’t use the included anchors because we mounted the light with a strong adhesive on the ceiling. Connecting the cables was easy thanks to the WAGO connectors.

It shines great, including smart modes

We like its minimalist design, which fits perfectly into a bright interior. Since the surface of the light is plastic, there’s less chance that something will break or crack during shipping.

Marpou smart ceiling light shines great. At maximum intensity, compared to a regular bulb we had before, it’s a bit brighter—so for everyday use, 70 % intensity will be more than enough.

Our test room is about 14 square meters, and for lighting up a space like that, a 30 cm ceiling lamp is more than enough. We’re not afraid to say it would even be sufficient for 20 square meters.

For us, the downside is the proprietary app

For us personally, the real drawback is the need to use the proprietary app Surplife. We already have a few Tuya products at home, so the option to add the light to the Tuya app would be a practical plus. However, the light can be used fully only with the wall switch and the remote, unless you use the smart features in your phone.

But you can still set all sorts of colors, brightness levels, music-reactive lighting, and light animations. The app, however, on iOS looks really good, doesn’t crash, and everything works as it should—so we give the developers extra points for that. The initial setup went without any problems, and the app recognized the light immediately.

The Marpou ceiling light has adjustable brightness and supports Google Home

This lighting model from Marpou offers a matte white color scheme for the housing, as well as simple installation with mounting on the wall, plus an RGB color spectrum. The product dimensions are 30 x 5.5 centimeters. The wiring connection platform has a width of 13 cm.

The light source is an LED type, with power of 30 W, and it offers adjustable lighting temperature (2700 – 6500 K) as well as brightness control up to 2200 lm. It can illuminate a room of about 10 – 15 m2, so it’s a great fit for an entryway, bedroom, or dining room. The light source has a lifespan of up to 20,000 hours.

For control and a voice assistant

You can choose from several lighting modes, including a mode that lights up to the rhythm of music and other dynamic modes. You can customize them via the remote control as well as through a mobile app. The light supports IFTTT as well as voice assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This mainly includes a wall-mounting kit, as well as a remote control and a local power cable for the mains (EU Plug, 220 – 240 V / 50 – 60 Hz). There’s also a brief user manual, as traditionally, in English.
