Not all desktop PCs that deliver great performance have to be big. Proof is this NVISEN Y-GX01, which offers several versions with Intel i9 or i7 processors and different memory configurations.
The most powerful model, in particular, features a six-core Intel Core i9-9880H, Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics, and a fast SSD drive. There’s 16 GB available, but in the top version you can also get 32 GB of RAM.

NVISEN Y-GX01 is a better alternative to a laptop
The tiny desktop PC NVISEN Y-GX01 really surprised us with its specs. As we already mentioned, it’s sold on the well-known Banggood website, and its price doesn’t even get close to the 1,000 € mark.
You can get it in two memory configurations. The first has 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. The second one then boasts a larger SSD with its capacity increased to 512 GB.
But let’s talk about its internal components. The processor is the first thing worth mentioning—the one that powers the Intel Core i9-8950HK. It has six cores, with a maximum boost clock of 2.9 GHz. In demanding situations, however, the chip can be overclocked up to 4.8 GHz.
There’s also a variant with the more powerful, next-generation Intel Core i9-9880H, which is available with a massive 32 GB RAM memory or even 1 TB of HDD storage.
A new variant with Intel Core i7-9750H, is also now available, but compared to the i9-8950HK it’s more powerful! Check out this CPU comparison.
On the NVISEN Y-GX01, you can also play more demanding games
Gamers are probably most interested in the graphics card used. It’s the Nvidia GTX 1650, which isn’t among the very best, but it’s also not among the worst. It’s a solid middle ground—you’ll be able to play a lot of popular gaming titles.
Choosing and installing the operating system is up to you—you can pick between Windows 8.1, Windows 10, or OS Linux.
When it comes to connectivity, the PC has a Bluetooth 4.0 slot, or a WiFi network card. There’s also a free M.2 slot where you can insert a card that combines Bluetooth and WiFi.
On the back of the device, you’ll find various ports:
- 1x RJ45 LAN
- 4x USB 3.0
- 2x USB 2.0
- 1x USB-C
- 1x HDMI
- 1x 19V (120 W) DC power
Small size and very low weight
By the way, you can take this mini PC with you—for example, from home to the office. Of course, that assumes you have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse in both places. You wouldn’t want to carry a big screen around in your backpack.
For great portability options, you can mainly thank the low weight of 1.3 kg and truly compact dimensions of 22.2 cm x 19.5 cm x 4.0 cm. In the box, besides the PC itself, you’ll also find an adapter that will power the entire device.
After opening the case, you’ll see two fans that keep the internal components cool, along with a 2.5″ SATA 3.0 slot for a drive and 2x M.2 space. If the RAM you get isn’t enough, you can replace it thanks to two SO-DDR4 SDRAM sockets.
How do you like a device like this? Would you rather stick with a traditional desktop PC or with a more convenient laptop?
