OnePlus 135G is the Chinese manufacturer’s flagship for 2024. The promising expectations were ultimately fulfilled, and the result is an exceptionally capable smartphone that makes almost no compromises. These are the exact specifications of the version called global ROM, with the Chinese system replaced by European OxygenOS, at significantly lower prices.
OnePlus 13 5G in global ROM is currently available together with a discount coupon at Gshopper. It is available from a Chinese warehouse with duty-free delivery within 9-16 days. You no longer pay any customs duties or taxes.
💡 Notice: It’s important to note that in the case of global ROM, this is originally a Chinese version of the smartphone, which the seller Gshopper (TradingShenzhen leaves the Chinese ROM) completely reinstalls with the global OxygenOS version, where everything works for Europe, including Google services, banking apps, and everything else you’re used to. The phone supports all 4G and 5G networks as well as NFC payments. eSIM does not work, OTA updates work only on a rooted device.
China Planet shopping TIP: GShopper has now launched direct bank transfer payments, so you can save another 4.5 % off the product price! Compared to card / Google Pay payment, you can get this product much cheaper. We described the full bank transfer payment process in our article.

What are the downsides of buying the Chinese version of OnePlus 13?
By buying the Chinese version of OnePlus 13, you can save a lot compared to the prices of the official global version. However, the Chinese version also comes with drawbacks that may be crucial for some potential buyers. That’s why in this article we’ll explain the negatives we found based on our own experience using this phone.
On the Chinese version, automatic OTA updates of the global OxyngeOS system do not work (yet) – or rather, they do, but after the update the mobile network signal is lost, so we recommend not updating
Updates without losing signal can be installed only from the XDA forum, where the developer always modifies the system and applies a fix for the signal
To install updates without wiping data, you need to root the phone (it won’t damage the warranty and root can be uninstalled)
With root and an unlocked bootloader, NFC (Google Pay) payments may not work – there are fixes for this, but we have no experience with them
NFC payments work without any issues if the phone has a locked bootloader
Whenever you unlock / lock the bootloader, the phone is fully reset to factory settings
eSIM also does not work on the Chinese version, Android Auto works fully
Because OnePlus has made it like this—complicated to use the Chinese version of OnePlus 13—it may not be the ideal choice for less experienced users. The smartphone will arrive from the Gshopper seller with the latest version of the stable global OxygenOS system, but things get complicated with a new update.
We personally use the phone with a locked bootloader, which means that when a new update arrives, we’ll have to unlock the bootloader, flash the new version, and lock it again. At that point, we lose all data. Fortunately, the phone offers a complete local data backup option, which we plan to use. Before installing an update, we’ll back up the phone completely, copy the backup to a PC, install the update, and then restore the entire backup. We plan to go through this process once every six months, or once a year.
We’ve already tested it and installed the global OxygenOS as well
We’ve had the OnePlus 13 from our partner Gshopper for quite some time for testing, and we were waiting for the release of the global OxygenOS ROM so we could start testing it fully. On the well-known XDA developers forum, a guide was published on how to install this global system on the Chinese version of the OnePlus 13, and we jumped on it right away.
After about half an hour, our unit is running onthe beautiful global OxygenOS, but for now only in beta. At the moment, the system can only be updated via OTA if the phone is rooted, you can see how in this video. A detailed review of this amazing piece of tech from China is already available on our website.
OnePlus 13 will definitely not disappoint. What does it bring?
The design of the new model doesn’t differ much from its predecessor. It’s still a device with several signature elements of the company OnePlus. This time, the phone has flat edges, and the same goes for the display. It’s made of metal and glass. The round camera module is once again located in the top-left corner and houses three camera lenses.
On the right side of the OnePlus 13, you’ll find the power button and the volume buttons. The left side features the traditional three-position slider for choosing sound modes. On the top of the new model, there is an IR blaster. Of course, don’t expect a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Welcome Snapdragon 8 Elite and a great display
OnePlus 13 will try to impress with a completely new chipset that’s “under the hood”. We’re talking about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, which offers 12 GB, 16 GB, or up to 24 GB LPDDR5X of RAM. You can choose from storage variants with 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
It features a 6.82-inch AMOLED X2 display from BOE with Quad HD+ resolution (1440 x 3168 pixels). It also has LTPO technology, so the refresh rate can dynamically scale from 1 to 120 Hz to improve power efficiency.
The panel’s peak brightness reaches 4500 nits, and high-frequency PWM dimming is included to help prevent eye strain when using the smartphone at low brightness levels. Also worth mentioning is Rain Touch 2.0, which lets you use the phone smoothly even in the rain or with wet fingers. Under the display, there is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, replacing the slower optical one from the previous generation.

A huge 6000 mAh Si/C battery with 100 W charging
One of the new OnePlus 13’s most interesting headline features is the advanced 6000 mAh battery with Si/C (Silicon NanoStack) technology, which makes it possible to achieve higher capacity while keeping dimensions compact. This is a significant improvement in raw capacity.
It’s also worth noting that its predecessor, the OnePlus 12, already offered impressive endurance. Now it will likely be even better. 100 W charging is supported, and if you prefer wireless power, you can look forward to support for up to 50 W wireless charging.
The photo setup includes a 50 MP primary Sony LYT-808 sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera with a 114-degree field of view, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens equipped with a 1/1.95-inch sensor and optics allowing 3x zoom.
The latest Android 15 operating system comes pre-installed, along with OxygenOS 15. The OnePlus 13 measures 162.9 x 76.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 213 grams. It is sold in blue, white, and black. The blue version has a leather-like material on the back and is 3 grams lighter and 0.3 mm thicker than the other variants.
