OnePlus has confirmed that its new flagship model OnePlus 15 will be released on the domestic market in China on October 27, 2025. The global launch, including Europe and India, will take place two weeks later, specifically on November 13, 2025. Fans will soon get to enjoy one of the most powerful smartphones of the year.
A top-tier display with high brightness
OnePlus 15 will come with a 6.78-inch BOE X3 type display with 1.5K resolution and support for Dolby Vision. Thanks to 8T LTPO technology, it can smoothly adjust the refresh rate in the 1 to 165 Hz range, ensuring a great experience for gaming and everyday use. There’s also HDR10+ and HDR Vivid certification, with a maximum brightness of up to 1800 nits.
The device features a special 2160 Hz PWM dimming technology that reduces eye fatigue when using it at night. OnePlus also adds an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that works reliably even with wet hands. The system will be based on ColorOS 16 built on Android 16.
The latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip
At the heart of the new model is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, taking performance and efficiency to a new level. It’s paired with LPDDR5X RAM and fast UFS 4.1 storage. You can choose configurations up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.
Power will be handled by a massive 7300 mAh battery with support for 120 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. OnePlus is clearly following in the footsteps of its predecessor—the OnePlus 13—but with an even higher capacity and improved thermal management.
Three 50 MPx cameras with optical stabilization
The camera setup should be one of the main strengths of the new device. On the back there are three 50 MP sensors: the main Sony LYT-700 (24 mm, OIS), an ultra-wide-angle Samsung JN5 (15 mm), and a telephoto Samsung JN5 (85 mm, OIS) with 3.5× optical zoom. Thanks to color calibration and advanced image processing, OnePlus promises more accurate colors and sharper shots than ever before.
OnePlus 15 should also bring an improved night mode and advanced video stabilization. The front camera stays 32 MPx and supports up to 4K resolution for video calls and selfies.
Durability, cooling, and a new vibration unit
The smartphone gets new bionic cooling, which makes heat distribution more efficient via a dual vapor chamber. A large next-generation vibration motor will handle more realistic haptics. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IR blaster, multifunctional NFC, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port are also included.
OnePlus has also added an upgraded IP66 / IP68 / IP69 certification this time around, meaning even higher resistance to water and dust. This makes it one of the most rugged flagships from the brand.
Design, colors, and versions
The published renders show a minimalist design with slightly rounded edges and premium materials. OnePlus 15 will be available in the Sand Storm edition, as well as in the classic black and purple colors. The manufacturer is expected to offer up to five memory configurations—from 12 GB RAM / 256 GB up to 16 GB RAM / 1 TB storage.
Thanks to leaks from Chinese sources, we know that pre-orders will start immediately after the reveal, and the global version will begin selling shortly after November 13. Along with it, a slightly different model OnePlus 15R could also appear — it’s said to be a modified version of the OnePlus Ace 6.
Expectations & availability
OnePlus 15 aims to become one of the best flagships of the year 2025. Display, battery, camera and performance upgrades push beyond the limits set by the brand with the previous OnePlus 13 model. Combined with the ColorOS 16 overlay and five years of security updates, it will be a future-ready device.
